On this week's episode of the Global Research News Hour, as Canada's Federal Government negotiates both the 25 year old North American Free Trade Agreement and the refurbished version of the 11 country Trans-Pacific Partnership, we spend the hour discussing these agreements with two voices of dissent on the supposed virtue of these trade agreements. David Orchard is an organic farmer, environmental activist, and two-time contender for the leadership of the PRogressive Conservative Party of Canada. He is also the author of The Fight for Canada: Four Centuries of Resistance to American Expansionism. Gus Van Harten is Associate Professor of Law at York University's Osgood Hall Law School, and author of the paper: Foreign investor protections in the Trans-Pacific Partnership for te Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives.
