Richard Carey from Bristol Housing Action Movement (BHAM) joins us to name two Bristol City Council officers responsible for 1. evicting people and then, 2. when they end up begging on the streets, criminalising them for begging: Robin Denford and Streetwise co-ordinator Richard Hawkridge - The Free Shop is BHAM's way of making sure free clothes are available for those increasing number of Bristolians without any money - we also hear Rick's views about Labour Mayor Marvin Rees who he believes is a 'neoliberal' which means he thinks the best way to make the city prosper is to encourage multi-million investment from abroad.

Bombs for Peace: NATO's Humanitarian War on Yugoslavia
This book is a thorough autopsy of the destruction of Yugoslavia by the US and NATO-countries. It reveals the methodology of the so called International community to serve the interests of the big money and submitting to the will of the US. This autopsy gives clues also to the process in Ukraine and elsewhere, where the interests of the US and Germany come together. This book also shows the meager meaning of democracy when it does not serve the power. It also shows how human suffering does not count. This book gives the reader a full understanding of the state of affairs in the world. This is one of the most important books ever.
The truth does not fit the "acceptable" narrative, so it has been rewritten by the media (among others) to present a skewed and completely false version of the Yugoslavian conflict. George Szamuely, in this meticulously researched and documented account, exposes the lies and half-truths that have informed the public perception of these events and presents the unadulterated and incontrovertible facts of this sorry sequence of events. The ripples of this destabilization continue to be felt even today, as we witness a continuation of this conflict on other fronts. The MO of the Islamic State remains the same. One can read today's headlines and make the connection: "That is exactly what they did in Yugoslavia." The complicity of NATO and its allies can not be denied. This history is being repeated because nobody will admit what actually happened. Szamuely's book is a wake-up call with profound implications for current world politics.
