Rick Sterling has been following the White Helmets from the beginning, when they emerged in the midst of the Syrian conflict. The White Helmets were set up by James Le Mesurier, on a contract with the U.K. government. Their main purpose is PR and propaganda, to demonize the Syrian government and promote Western support for regime change in Syria.

The propaganda are lies: White Helmets aren't neutral, and they aren't unarmed. They also called for a "no-fly-zone" in Syria, a prelude to invasion. Now Hollywood has joined in: Turkey and other foreign funders produced a documentary for Netflix.

Canada is deeply invested in the group, and is bringing hundreds of them 'home.' This is amazing, considering that Holland has decided to end funding to the White Helmets because they operate in collusion with terrorists, and do not account for the distribution of money.

Thankfully, we have people like Rick Sterling and Eva Bartlett to uncover the White Helmets and their myths, like the "Omran" story.
