In 2018, women labor organizers speaking at the UN called for a treaty about gender based violence in the workplace. In 2019, it was adopted by the UN-based International Labor Organization. As of May 1, 2025, ILO C-190 has been ratified by 49 countries from across the globe. Speakers: Marieke Koning, Equality Policy Advisor to the International Trade Union Congress; Vicky Smallman, Director of Womens Human Rights for the Canadian Labour Congress; Zuliana Lainez, President, Latin American Federation of Journalists.
