A Panel discussion on the proposed Atlantica trade zone.
Recorded and produced by Stuart Neatby for CKDU Radio, Halifax, NS
From June 8-10 citizens across Canada's Atlantic Provinces as well as the Northeastern United States gathered in Saint John, New Brunswick to resist the proposed Atlantica Economic Region. Proponents of Atlantica, a regional expansion of the NAFTA agreement, outwardly admit that it would result in a reduced minimum wage in the region, a campaign of decertification of Unions, and closer integration of Canadian defense, immigration, security, and military policy with that of the Bush administration.
