On Saturday, April 28th, members of the Halifax Coalition Against Poverty (HCAP) disrupted the Annual General Meeting of the Chester-St Margarets Riding Association, the home turf of Nova Scotia's Ministers of Community Services Judy Streatch. A 44-member delegation of poor people and HCAP members travelled to the meeting in an 8-car caravan.
After chanting and loudly commnicating their demands to the Tories inside the meeting, some HCAP attempted to enter the site of the meeting. They were met with violence from several of Streatch's Tory supporters including South Shore Member of Parliament Gerald Keddy.
This clip is a small selection of raw audio from the action, including a speech given by Cole Webber, HCAP member.
