This version of the program is divided into 6 segments so broadcasters who desire to use this content can insert your station info, etc. The segments vary in length, but I try to keep them approximately 30 minutes in most cases.
Out of the Woods is an earthy, wires and wood, mostly acoustic program featuring some of the best new and established artists from the worlds of folk, bluegrass, singer-songwriters, alt.country, Americana, classic country, old-time, Celtic, and everything that falls in between. The show is an unpredictable mix flowing like a river between moods, often with an edge or in a melancholy minor key. On occasion, Out of the Woods features interviews and live in-studio performances with national and international touring musicians. Past guests have included artists such as Bela Fleck, Si Kahn, Brown Bird, Dana Robinson, Steve Gillette & Cindy Mangsen, Bill Bourne, Karl Shiflett, Rachel Bissex, Darryl Purpose, Bow Thayer, Cosy Sheridan and many others. Out of the Woods grew out of Jon 'Chip' Colcord's former acoustic programs, The Song Swap and Music For The Mountain, separate folk and bluegrass programs which aired in New Hampshire during the 1990s. As a child, Colcord grew up a ravenous music fan with an ear for both rock and folk, from Arlo Guthrie to Aerosmith. Mayor Dwight C. Jones has been tapped by Gov. Terry McAuliffe to lead the state Democratic party. Problem is, Dwight hasn't make a course correction on past statements about his beliefs regarding gay marriage. Catherine Read is considering a protest run against Jones for the top party spot.
Greed of Covanta Energy and Jamaica Ash Corporations Harmed His Son

Ralph Andaloro is angry about what has happened to his son. He has every right to be angry. Covanta Energy Corp. and the Jamaica Ash and Rubbish Removal Company ruined his son's health. These greedy corporations conducted their business in such a way as to cause Tom Andaloro to be heavily exposed to incinerator ash on a regular basis as he worked driving truck at the Covanta Babylon facility. As a result of this exposure, Tom developed chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Ralph Andaloro's anger is in response to the unspeakable corporate greed that left Tom sick, jobless, without medical insurance and needing lifelong medical attention.
The elder Andaloro speaks of how corporate greed is ruining our country. '15,000 lobbyists in Washington, 15,000!" Listen to what he says about a broken America.
We can restore our beloved America. We can bring an end to the rule of corporations by standing up and saying what we want. We need to say that we want our country back. We need to say this with millions of strong, good voices. We need to keep the pressure on government until it falls. After the fall of the corrupt government we will set about rebuilding our government so as to have the government that we want.

Author Sam Avery warns that thereâs enough carbon in the tar sands âto send Earthâs climate into an irreversible tailspin.â Dan Miller, Managing Director of the Roda Group, looks at the long term saying âas a price on carbon kicks in, and it starts to build over time, the tar sands will be the first things that will be knocked off the list.â Greg Croft, Lecturer at St. Maryâs College of California, points out that âthe carbon problem is global and we haven't solved any problems on a global basis.â

Bruce Gagnon is the Coordinator of the Global Network Against Weapons & Nuclear Power in Space. He was a co-founder of the Global Network when it was created in 1992.
Between 1983â1998 Bruce was the State Coordinator of the Florida Coalition for Peace & Justice and has worked on space issues for 30 years. In 1987 he organized the largest peace protest in Florida history when over 5,000 people marched on Cape Canaveral in opposition to the first flight test of the Trident II nuclear missile.
Bruce speaks to Stuart Richardson about growing tension in what is becoming a dangerous standoff between Russia
in the Crimea region of Ukraine which has the potential to become a much bigger conflict. Bruce gives us some history and speaks of Nato's bigger agenda in the region,
Of course the Obama administration is saying that Russia is violating international law by moving more troops into Crimea. Obama is threatening Russia with "severe consequences". And now you can be sure that NATO is indeed preparing 'contingency plans'.
The open question is how will the American people react to all of this? They rightly opposed Obama's desired cruise missile attack on Syria. Will they be as wise about planting the cancerous NATO flag on Crimean soil?
Now is the time for all peaceful people to speak out. Before the real shooting starts.
