I finally got around to acquiring the latest compilation of collegiate a cappella recordings. Kind of amazing what these kids can make happen in a studio. Not sure how "a cappella" it is when filtered through so many electronics, but there you have it.

A recent article examines why deaths from infectious diseases have dropped so dramatically. It says itâs less to do with medicine and more to do with better living and working conditions for workers. Ian Hudson co-wrote the article with Robert Chernomas. He teaches economics at the University of Winnipeg and is co-author of To Live and Die in America.
