Tonight's selection is my "IngSoc 'n' Porn!" show, a scholarly examination of the drier parts of George Orwell's prescient "i984"--the appendices that deal with the language manipulation principles of NewSpeak and DoubleThink. But dissecting the insidious linguistic intent of a totalitarian society can make for some hard entertainment...so with my listeners in mind, I laid the intellectual fare against a tapestry of smut clips from PARTY DOLL A-GOGO, a XXX flick which is itself an endurance test of porn sensibilities. I double-dog-dare you to jack off to THIS one!

On this episode of Warning Shots you will hear a speech and interivew from Jawar Mohammed.Jawar Mohammed is an independent researcher, and a recent graduate of Stanford University who has also attended Oxford where he did his research on federalism and political party system. Jawar is a human rights and social justice advocate, and has published numerous articles on Ethiopia. The speech is taken from a conference on religious and political freedom in Ethiopia at the University of Winnipeg on March 9th 2013. The interivew was done on the same day by CKUW news director Michael Welch.

Cops Who Killed Kimani Gray Focus Of 5 Prior Federal Civil Rights Lawsuits
Another stolen Black life! Sixteen year old, African-American Kimani Gray was mortally wounded after 7 of the 11 bullets fired entered his body both the front and the back. The murderous shots were fired by Sergeant Mourad Mourad and Officer Jovaniel Cordova, who had already racked up five civil rights violations in federal lawsuits. Both Mourad and Cordova were accused of exploiting the "stop-and-frisk" tactic and going outside the confines of the law to hide their involvement. Building Bridges reports from the scene, Brooklyn's east Flatbush section where there has been more than a week of community protests following the latest death of a Black teen, resulting from the policies and practices by the NYPD in communities of color.
