Vous êtes invité à participer à un contingent anticolonialiste en support aux nations autochtones qui luttent présentement partout au Canada. Les politiques d'assimilation sont encore présentes. Et quel bel exemple que les dernières législations fédérales qui constituent un laissez-passer à la destruction des territoires ancestraux des autochtones! Ces territoires appartiennent aux cultures qui y vivent et qui y sont issues. Sans oublier qu’en ce moment deux Innues de Uashat Mak Maliotenam Aniesh Vollant et Shanet Pilouss ainsi que Theresa Spence sont présentement en grève de la faim. Nous n'allons pas laisser ces femmes de courage perdre leur vie sans réagir. Nous marcherons avec eux pour la liberté. Cette liberté enlevée par un apartheid silencieux qui a trop longtemps duré. Tories block bill to bring affordable medicine to developing countries

A bill to amend Canada’s Access to Medicines Regime failed to pass in November. The bill was to streamline the process for producers of generic drugs and get low-cost medication to people who need it. Hélène Laverdière sponsored the bill. She is NDP MP for Laurier – Sainte-Marie.

Transparency at Winnipeg City Hall

In August 2012, the private company Emterra began collecting garbage, recycling and yard waste in Winnipeg. Almost immediately, there were complaints that the company was violating its contract through missed pick-ups and delays, lost carts, emptying garbage into the recycling trucks and recycling into garbage trucks. City councillor Harvey Smith wants more information on fines levied against the company for contract violations. He also wants the city to go back to using public employees for garbage and recycling collection.
