Since the show computer is borked, I don't have the long-awaited and once-destroyed lost 9/11 show ready--in fact, I couldn't do much of anything because I'm too afraid to hook the other computer up. It always takes me a while to cotton to something new with technology, like a monkey with a monolith--
Which got me to thinking about the nature of FEAR. I did a Fear! show for Hween in the mid-oughts and it was a pretty good one. I retooled it with better background music, and damn, it was a fuckin' great one. So I did a 72-minute version of it. And damn, it's so good, I'm going to stay up to listen to it myself.

Doc Ellis of the Lymph Node Institute produced this show some four years ago, featuring dollops of music from the Rudy Schwartz Project, LNI, and Eraserhead. In the mix are meaty, satisfying chunks of William S. Burroughs and a Chuck Pahlaniuk short story. But the serendipitous thing is that in this show from the past, Doc Ellis has his boot squarely on the pulse of today, for in it he delineates the TRUE MEANING of the distasteful sexual term "santorum" --just in time for the recurring fly-by of this ill-starred political hack! The Santorum piece is followed, appropriately enough, by the Stooges' "I Wanna Be Your Dog" and some Wesley Willis. Leave it to a scalpel-wielding doktor to be truly cutting edge!
