Aqua books: local book store challenges corporate culture

Aqua books opened to modest means in 1999. Since that time it has evolved into the cultural city hall of Winnipeg, hosting countless concert, poetry readings, spoken word artist, a Karl Marx reading group, and contributing to the true revitalization of downtown Winnipeg. Sadly Aqua books has experienced financial difficulty and has had to re-structure itself. Owner Kelly Hughes talks about the ethos that drives Aqua books and the challenges of running a business with a community focus.
