On Saturday October 23rd, 2010, the Halifax North Commons was decorated with tents as part of Nova Scotia Common Front for Housing's tent city demonstration. The tent's were set up on that day and through the night. The idea of it all : to help connect members of the community while serving as public awareness for the housing crisis in Nova Scotia.

Part 2: Angela Marie MacDougall is executive director of Battered Womenâs Support Services in Vancouver. She talks about domestic violence courts from her perspective as a feminist and a long-time front-line worker.

Part 1: Inspector Richard Konarski is with the Langley RCMP and is pursuing his doctorate on the topic of domestic violence. He and Crown Prosecutor Jocelyn Coupal instituted the Langley Domestic Violence Pilot Project. He describes that project in his presentation.

Part 3: British Columbia's Representative for Children and Youth, Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond, has worked as a criminal law judge in youth and adult courts. She helped institute domestic violence courts in Saskatchewan.
During her presentation, she talks about the case of Christian Lee. Christian Lee was a child who was killed by his father, along with his mother and two grandparents. Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond led an investigation into the case.
