OCAP protest Rally for Special Diet
June 18, 2010, 9:26 a.m.
OCAP came to Hamilton June 17th to help the activists here speak up and out against the cuts to the Special Diet. While The Canadian government can spend up to $1billion for security for the G-20, and the Provincial Government can spend hundreds of thousands on lost paperwork, the municipal government decided to take the money ear marked for Social Programs and pave sidewalks.
We live in a fractured Society. Stand up, write letters, call your Politicians now that they are back in their ridings and tell them that we must do something about the huge amounts of lost jobs, unemployed workers, and the disabled and retired. If a handful can get Billions times 10, it is a complete social breakdown and requires strong action. Find new candidates, support them, vote, and speak up if your offended that there are people asking for food money. What a disgrace.

This episode: should we be okay with the supposedly heightened "threat" levels from "activists" (has that been turned into a swear word?) before the G20 Summit June 26 - 27th being used as an excuse to change the "rights" of Canadians? Will this keep happening on a regular basis? Who makes these decisions? Are they different people than the ones who enforce them? What happens when people have the same enemy and they're just trying to do their job and you're just trying to do yours? What should?

B.U.R.N. Sets Fire to The Prisons w/ Ashanti Alston!
June 16, 2010, 7:41 p.m.
Ashanti Alston began his revolutionary life in the Black Panther Party where he learned the value of knowledge and the gun. He went on to be a soldier in the Black Liberation Army, was taken as prisoner of war and spent over a decade in the prison of the state. During that time he developed his theory from the traditional ideology of the BPP and became, what he calls, an @narchist Panther. His fight since then has been against all hierarchy. He now works with political prisoners and lectures around the world on the need for a strong movement to free all political prisoners. Publisher of the zine "anarchist Panther", he has written articles that inflame the radical left as well as the right. Ashanti will find himself in great company tonight, as we dissect (and attempt to destroy) the ideas of white supremacy, encourage radical action and build community.
