Full Circle Farm - An Organic Farm in the Middle of Silicon Valley

Full Circle Farm is an 11-acre sustainable, educational farm nestled in the heart of Silicon Valley. The farm is located at: 1055 Dunford Way Sunnyvale, CA 94087 In partnership with Schmahl Science, The Full Circle Farm Sunnyvale will offer 3 one week summer camps featuring garden-based learning through hands on exploration, taste testing, art projects, and scientific experiments. There will be daily themes focusing on important aspects of the natural world (seed starting, plant parts, secrets of soil, powerful pollinators, etc). Each day will begin with a combination of garden tasks and farm-fresh snacks, we will then “dig in” to investigatory activities, and we will wrap up the day with and arts and crafts project to take home. The “Hotel Rwanda” story doesn't begin to tell the whole tale of what went on in Rwanda in those days, Davenport tells BAR. Black Exclusion From Juries is Endemic in the U.S. Atty Jacqueline Jones-Peace outlines how the how Blacks are rejected from juries for reasons ranging from appearing “arrogant,” to having a goatee. Atty. One prosecutor rejected a Black juror because he “shucked and jived when he walked,” according to a study of eight southern states done by the Equal Justice Initiative, NAACP Legal Defense Fund: Prison-Based Gerrymandering Resembles “3/5s Man” Rule LDF attorney Dale Ho told BAR “the parallels between prison-based gerrymandering and the three-fifths compromise are strong and eerie.” The practice counts prison inmates as “residents” of the jurisdiction in which they are incarcerated, rather than their home cities.

A third generation Californian and Stanford University graduate, Eric Peterson grew up in Los Gatos, a town south of San Francisco. Mr. Peterson lives in Southern California with his family. His latest novel is entitled, "Life as a Sandwich" which is a sharp-witted and darkly funny read about one man's quest for identity--and the colorful cast of characters that threaten to turn his attempt at long-awaited respect and success into a staggering personal defeat. The book was published by Huckleberry House in November 2009. Mr. Peterson and his family played selections which pertain to his book and his experiences.
