This episode: with regular host Usheak Koroma off, guest host Black Krishna (BK) from CKLN 88.1's Rude Awakening (Mon - Thu, 6 - 7 am) fills-in. Can we understand the music of people like Bob Marley? Is the $1 billion in "security" for the G20 Summit in Toronto June 26 - 27th just a big staged show of force and slap in the face to Canada's biggest city? Why didn't they meet somewhere less disruptive? What about the issues? Can we share inspirational info with each other to get something done?

#118 -- Paul Siegel: Gay Rights as a Free-Speech Issue
June 4, 2010, 2:37 p.m.
Siegel has advice for people, particularly gays, challenging discrimination in court: Think 1st Amendment, not 14th. This intelligent and often funny talk should have wide appeal.
Highlights include a funny account of what PT&T would & wouldn't allow into the Yellow Pages, ... stories of clueless school administrators who think the 1st Amendment does not apply to teenagers, ... and a sad story of a gay student suspended and "outed" to her parents for the crime of kissing her girlfriend.

77 - Anarcho-Self Publicists
June 4, 2010, 7:33 a.m.
Anarcho-self publicists is a construct that is created by somebody on some anarcho-wannabe site who has claimed to really dislike them. I have decided that it would be a great idea to reclaim that term for anarchist movement, so here is my take on anarcho-self publicists.
The music at the end of the podcast is âDump the Bosses off Your Backâ as sung by Utah Phillips in âWe Have Fed You for a Thousand Yearsâ album. It is present there primarily because of the talk before the song itself; we need to influence what is being said in our society to actually have a revolution.

76 - The Dispossessed
June 4, 2010, 2:51 a.m.
The Dispossessed is both a classic of science fiction and of anarchist literature. Here i give a brief review of the book; it is brief not because there is little to say (quite to the contrary), but rather because i want to avoid spoiling anything, as this is a must read. If you really would like to hear my opinions on this book, leave comments and i'll do another review with the huge spoiler warning, but talking about the elements that are especially exciting.

June 3, 2010, 10:52 p.m.

74 - Australian Sex Party
June 3, 2010, 7:58 p.m.
Australian Sex Party (http://www.freedomporn.org/smut/Australian_Sex_Party) is a rather progressive political party (as political parties go); i've recently found out about it, but after i have calmed down from my initial elation that something like this exists and i've done some research i was disappointed. The party has some serious shortcomings in its policy (http://www.freedomporn.org/smut/shortcomings_of_Australian_Sex_Party).
73 - Prostitution
June 3, 2010, 7:49 p.m.
The issue of prostitution in an anarchist community is somehow unexplored, and yet it is highly important for sexual liberation. In this episode i try to examine how the prostitution would exist in an anarchist society, and emphacise the fact that it's important to accept prostitutes and fight bigotry in today's one.
Please do not make up your mind about what i am saying before listening to the podcast.
72 - Anarchist Web
June 3, 2010, 7:40 p.m.
This episode is intended to be an introduction to somebody who is interested in anarchism, but does not yet know much about it, or to somebody who wishes to help somebody out by introducing them to some ideas of the movement. I list several good and a couple of not very good anarchist portals and knowledge repositories. Please note that the list is by no means extensive.
Portals which were mentioned are:
- 1. LibCom (negative)
- 2. Anarchism-dot-net (negative)
+ 3. Anarchism Today (http://anarchismtoday.org/) (positive)
+ 4. Anarchopedia (http://anarchopedia.org/) (positive)
+ 5. A-Infos (http://www.ainfos.ca/) (positive)
+ 6. Infoshop.org (positive)
+ 7. flag.blackened.net (positive)
+ 8. ZNet (http://www.zmag.org/znet)
