Niger and the African Battle for Sovereignty

Aug. 13, 2023, 5:56 p.m.
In recent years, progressive coups have taken place in Mali, Burkina Faso, and now Niger, all with the aim of expelling Western troops and asserting national sovereignty. Mali and Burkina Faso have nationalized their gold reserves, kicked out Western mining companies, and now the West is afraid of the same happening in Niger. They are hell-bent on military intervention, because they view Niger as too strategic to lose.

UN placed Rwandan detainees in Niger

Aug. 11, 2023, 3:40 a.m.
Peter Robinson, international lawyer, provides a detailed account of how Rwandans who were acquitted by the UN Tribunal or who have served their sentence remain in custody because UN member nations will not allow them to return to their families. Now, their crisis is made more urgent because they are in Niger which is undergoing a radical change in leadership, with a possible war looming. Canada's new Attorney General has boasted of being a UN prosecutor at the Rwanda Tribunal. This is an issue of the failure of a justice system, the UNICTR. Is it possible he might find his voice and call out this injustice?

Mikey Weinstein – Update on Evangelism at the U.S. Air Force Academy

Aug. 11, 2023, 12:39 a.m.
Originally Broadcast: December 13, 2005 The concerns that evangelical Christianity continues to be proselytized at the United States Air Force Academy, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, have not lessened since our August 9, 2005 interview with Air Force Academy graduate Attorney Mikey Weinstein. Mikey Weinstein, of Albuquerque, New Mexico is a former Assistant General Counsel in the Reagan White House and former General Counsel for H. Ross Perot. In October 2005, Weinstein sued the United States Air Force in the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico, alleging violations of the Establishment clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution because of the evangelical proselytization at the Air Force Academy. Details may be found in the first interview with Attorney Weinstein, and the subsequent interviews with Reverend MeLinda Morton and Professor Kristen Leslie at www.radiocurious.org. In this interview, recorded on December 11, 2005, Attorney Weinstein discusses the current status of the litigation; the “Officers’ Christian Fellowship” located at many of the 702 United States Military bases in 132 different counties around the world; what he believes to be the religious efforts and goals of some evangelical Christians; and the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, a non-profit corporation he is organizing. Mikey Weinstein recommends “Constantine’s Sword, The Church and the Jews, A History,” by James Carroll,.

Adam Minter + Jim Motavalli: Autonomous Vehicles and EV Update

Aug. 10, 2023, 11:36 p.m.
This week on Sea Change Radio we dig into the archives to first speak with author and Bloomberg Opinion columnist Adam Minter about the world of autonomous vehicles. We examine the impact autonomous vehicles might have on rural America, look at an appealing test program in a sparsely populated area of Minnesota, and explore how the elimination of drivers might assist those who cannot – or should not – be driving. Then, we hear from automotive journalist, Jim Motavalli to discuss the puzzling decision by General Motors to shelve the Chevy Bolt, get some recommendations on new EV automakers and models, and talk about America’s ongoing fascination with big old gas-guzzling trucks and SUVs.

Philip Jacobson: The Fight To Stop Shark Finning (re-broadcast)

Aug. 10, 2023, 11:35 p.m.
If you were a kid in the 1970s, you undoubtedly were at least a little terrified of going into the ocean – a fear placed squarely in your subconscious by the Jaws movies. But, according to the International Shark Attack File, there are only around 72 unprovoked shark attacks around the world per year, a relatively small amount given the many sleepless nights and swimming phobias arising from a fear of sharks. The far scarier reality is that the much-demonized shark has long been under attack itself from its greatest predator: us. Humans kill well over 100 million sharks in any given year. This week on Sea Change Radio, we speak with Mongabay reporter, Philip Jacobson, to learn about the illegal shark-finning practices of one Chinese-based fishing company, why he believes this practice is far from unique, and what efforts are being taken to save this important apex predator.

Joseph McFadden: A Cattle Biologist Explains Feed Additives

Aug. 10, 2023, 11:33 p.m.
Did you know that India accounts for about one-third of the world’s one billion head of cattle? Last week on Sea Change Radio, we spoke to the head of Rumin8, a startup that’s working to reduce methane emissions from cattle. This week, we take a more academic approach to the cow burp problem – our guest is Dr. Joseph McFadden, a professor of cattle biology at Cornell University. We learn more about the science of enteric fermentation in ruminants, examine the various technological solutions aiming to reduce these methane emissions, and discuss the hurdles that the feed additive industry faces, and why they are particularly challenging in countries like India.

David Messina: Rumin8 Strives To Reduce Cow Methane Emissions

Aug. 10, 2023, 11:31 p.m.
When we think about greenhouse gas emissions, automobiles, airplanes, and power plants usually figure more prominently than livestock. The methane produced by cow belching, however, is one of the biggest sources of agricultural greenhouse gas emissions. Fortunately, there are some innovations on the horizon that are promising to help reduce the damage of these gassy cows. This week on Sea Change Radio, we speak to David Messina, the Managing Director of Rumin8, an Australian-based startup that is hoping to transform the cattle industry. The company’s main product is a lab-grown feed additive that is designed to significantly reduce methane emissions in ruminants like cattle and sheep. We discuss the problem that Rumin8 is trying to solve, talk about the company’s business strategy and hurdles it faces, and take a look at the competitive landscape in the growing feed additive space.

A Brief History of NATO, Tony Gosling speech opposite Downing St NO2NATO rally 06 Aug 23

Aug. 10, 2023, 8:43 p.m.
A brief history of NATO (Nazi Affiliated Terror Organisation) Until 1980 NATO is to promote many Nazi officers to the very top operational military positions in the alliance including Adolf Hausinger; Hans Spiedel; Johan Steinhoff; Franz-Josef Schutsze; Ferdinand von Senger und Etterlin; Johan von Kielmansegg; Ernst Ferber; Karl Schnell; Reinhard Gehlen (BND chief) 1948 - creation of the state of Israel by a UN vote. Nelson Rockefeller delivers South American votes for David Ben Gurion after giving him the ultimatum 'You can have a country, or vengeance, but not both. Quoted by John Loftus in interviews and his book 'The Secret War Against The Jews'. The Rockefeller Ben Gurion deal means there will be absolutely NO Israeli intelligence pursuit of Nazi war criminals excepting Adolf Eichmann who was abducted in Argentina by Mossad in 1960 for trial and execution in Israel who was of dubious importance. 1949 - formation of NATO 1954 - the inaugural Bilderberg meeting, NATO's highly successful and secretive political lobby, in Oosterbeek, near Arnhem, Holland. Chaired until 1975 by former Nazi SS Officer Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands. 1966 - French president Charles DeGaulle decides to eject the US military from France and to remove his country from NATO. President Sarkosy rejoined NATO 43 years later in 2009 but the French military remains outside NATO's nuclear command structure. 1972, Sat 25 November - Daily Express front page lead story is 'Bormann Is Alive'. Hitler's private secretary Martin Bormann appears to have been protected by the Allies since the end of WWII. Ladislas Farago, Hungarian author of 'Aftermath' has the pictures of Bormann in Buenos Aires and Stuart Steven is the Jewish journalist. 1980s - Operation Gladio - 1,100 Italians are murdered in cold blood by NATO terrorists in bomb attacks carried out by fascists working under NATO and CIA direction. Italy is bringing the communists into government and prime minister Aldo Moro is kidnapped and assassinated. The object of NATO's 'Strategy of Tension' is to keep communists out of power in Italy. 1981 - former CBS WWII journalist Paul Manning publishes 'Martin Bormann Nazi In Exile' which details Bormann's activities in South America using laundered Nazi loot to create and foster 750 new companies, a 'Financial Fourth Reich'. 1989 - fall of the Berlin wall and assassination of Deutsch Bank chairman Alfred Herrhausen who has been brokering big financial agreements between Germany and the former Soviet Union states. 1990, 9th February - US Secretary of State James Baker promises a concerned Russian President Gorbachev that NATO will move 'Not one inch Eastward'. 1996 - John Ainsworth-Davis, aka. Christopher Creighton, publishes Op JB which details the British commando raid planned by Ian Fleming, which brought Bormann out of Berlin by canoe at the very end of WWII 2000 - President Putin takes power in Russia giving the impression that his country will be part of NATO dominated institutions such as the WEF and G8. Meanwhile he is building up Russia's military technology and fighting ability on all fronts to take on and defeat the Unites States if necessary. 2013 - 4-5,000 British people protest the annual Bilderberg conference in Watford, UK. 2020 - Tony Gosling publishes The Traitors of Arnhem which details the origins of the Bilderberg conferences in the deliberate British Army failures in the notorious Operation Market Garden in September 1944 which gave the Nazis time to arrange their financial affairs to regroup as a Fourth Reich after the war. Nazi loot was exchanged for safe passage by the Allies after the war and the deal was brokered by Martin Bormann, Hitler's private secretary and Desmond Morton, Winston Churchill's equivalent in Downing Street. 2023 - a NATO drone kills the first Libyans with no human involvement since AI has targeted individuals and launched the drone and deadly missiles. The US Air Force applies to the UK CAA to fly its deadly drones out of USAF or RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. https://www.no2nato.org https://twitter.com/No2NatoNo2War https://www.facebook.com/No2Nato https://www.youtube.com/@No2Nato
