Sonic Café, You Don’t Believe, from Ammonia Avenue that’s the Alan Parsons Project. So hey welcome back, broadcasting from planet earth, I’m your host Scott Clark and this is episode 284. Conan that late night TV talker featuring Conan O’Brien, its’ run is over, but for eleven years, it was part of your basic cable package. During that time one of the shows frequent and favorite recurring guests was Bill Burr. Burr has become hugely popular; he’s a cynic and a contrarian who has never paid any heed to political correctness. According to the New York Times, Burr is one of the funniest, and most distinctive comedic voices in the country. This time the Sonic Café features the miscellaneous ramblings of comedian Bill Burr. We’ll bring you a number of his stream of consciousness rants captured from Conan as well as on stage. Joanna Macy is an eco-philosopher and a scholar of Buddhism, general systems theory, and deep ecology. Now in her very early nineties she has for decades helped transform despair and apathy into constructive change. As teacher, writer of eight books and antinuclear activist she has created frameworks for personal and social change. Joanna Macy is probably best know as the founder and root teacher of the Work That Reconnects.
