Canada Should Follow a Diplomatic Path and Stop Contributing to Tensions in Ukraine
Feb. 3, 2022, 8:32 p.m.
The US & NATO are beating war drums over Ukraine, even as President Zelensky of Ukraine tells them not to and to respect his assessment of the crisis. It is bizarre and Canada is playing a dangerous role by supporting American/NATO jingoism. Glenn Michalchuk of the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians makes the point that Canada should be working to de-escalate tensions and promoting a diplomatic solution. Glenn also points out that Chrystia Freeland's ideological bias of claiming the issue in Ukraine is democracy vs authoritarianism is false and inflammatory.

Walter Hixson explores Israel's "special relationship" with the US
Feb. 3, 2022, 3:44 p.m.
As is so evident, Israel has a very special relationship to the US, unparalleled by any other country. We pour more foreign aid to Israel than any other country, largely for weapons built in the US, even though Israelâs largest exports are military and police weapons. They do not lack for money. They have the fifth largest GDP in the world. So why do we give these resources that they really do not need when resources are needed is so many other places? That is the question explored today by one of our favorite speakers, historian and author Walter Hixson. Here he is speaking at a forum sponsored by the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs. If your jaw is dropping over Hixsonâs exploration of Israelâs special relationship with the US, you are not the only one. Israel owns the White House and The Congress, and therefore owns us.

Welcome to "The Radio Art Hour," a show where art is not just on the radio, but is the radio. "The Radio Art Hour" draws from the Wave Farm Broadcast Radio Art Archive, an online resource that aims to identify, coalesce, and celebrate historical and contemporary international radio artworks made by artists around the world, created specifically for terrestrial AM/FM broadcast, whether it be via commercial, public, community, or independent transmission. Come on a journey with us as radio artists explore broadcast radio space through poetic resuscitations and playful celebrations/subversions of the complex relationship between senders and receivers in this hour of radio about radio as an art form. "The Radio Art Hour" features introductions from Philip Grant and Tom Roe, and from Wave Farm Radio Art Fellows Karen Werner, Andy Stuhl, and Jess Speer. The Conet Project's recordings of numbers radio stations serve as interstitial sounds. Go to wavefarm.org for more information about "The Radio Art Hour" and Wave Farm's Radio Art Archive.

David Ebershoff- "Southern California, 1903 - 1945"
Feb. 2, 2022, 7:43 p.m.
Originally Broadcast: July 29, 2003
In this program we visit with David Ebershoff, author âPasadena,â a book about storytelling. âPasadenaâ is the story of Linda Stamp, a young girl born and raised on a rural coastal area near San Diego, California, beginning when she was born in 1903. Linda learned the many different ways of the sea as she grew and married into a wealthy Pasadena family.
This is also a book about choices, some which we think through, and some which determine our fate even when we were unaware of the magnitude of the moment.
With the novelistâs freedom to he uses his sense of story, where it begins and where it ends. As the middle part of the story is built, so are the characterâs lives, juxtaposing the times and places in their live times.
In many ways, California itself is the novel's main character. We get to see what the land must have been like when it was a wild, teeming frontier, just on its way to being transformed by fishermen, farmers, land developers and tourists.
David Ebershoff is currently an executive editor at Random House, and lives in New York City. When and I visited by phone in July 2002, I asked him to describe the kinds of things in his life that prompted him to write his second novel âPasadena.â
The book David Ebershoff recommends is âMiddlesex,â a novel by Jeffrey Eugenides.
David Ebershoff's website is: www.ebershoff.com.

She helps moderate the options room in the TRADEPRO Academy Discord with Victorio, pointing out notable and unusual options activity and teaches order flow with GQA Academy.
