#684 -- Peasant of the Dawn (R)
April 10, 2021, 9:45 a.m.
Excellent audio collage by Virtual Renderings, slightly condensed by me. It's a meditation on class warfare, the ruling elite's dislike of democracy, American exceptionalism, economic inequality, mind control, and the prescience of George Orwell.
Voices heard belong to Howard Zinn, Michael Parenti, Noam Chomsky, historian Morris Berman, and Ken Nordine (himself a master of audio collage), among others. Includes dramatic readings from Orwell's "1984" & some good music.
Canada's political class deepens ties to US War-Wagon
April 9, 2021, 5:37 p.m.
When Trudeau came to power, he promised to improve trade with all parties. Instead, the US put a stop to any Canadian ideas about improving relations with China, Russia and Iran. There is not a sign from Parliament, including the NDP, of a desire to disavow hostility with the three countries.
Witnesses in Rusesabagina case range from Kidnapper to Paid Informant
April 9, 2021, 5:18 p.m.
Phil once again focuses on the kidnapping, arrest, and trial of Paul Rusesabagina in Kigali, Rwanda.
Paul has removed himself from the trial because he was illegally rendered to Rwanda and is actually a Belgian citizen. In addition, he has been denied access to his lawyers and suffered having his personal papers read by the prosecution.
One of the witnesses for the prosecution of Rusesabagina was a teacher in California. She is a registered agent of the government of Rwanda, paid $5,000 a month to seek out information about opponents of the Kagame regime. In other words, she is a police information and an agent provocateur who sought out many Rwandan expatriates with the purpose of linking them to illegal activities.
A new book, "Do Not Disturb," has been written by Michaela Wrong about Paul Kagame, the present dictator of Rwanda. The book documents the assassinations by Kagame's RPF of two African Presidents, which started the killings in Rwanda in 1994.

"Victoria Bruce - Beware of Volcanos"
April 7, 2021, 6:27 p.m.
No Apparent Danger
Volcanic eruptions are far more predictable than earthquakes. Scientific equipment is available to forecast an eruption with about as much accuracy as there is to predict a hurricane. These predictions can tell when it is time to evacuate areas surrounding an active volcano. Unfortunately, the information available from these predictions is not always heeded. Thatâs what happened in the South American nation of Columbia, in 1985, and later, in 1993. Victoria Bruce is the author of a book entitled âNo Apparent Danger,â which tells the stories of these two volcanic eruptions and the deaths that followed.
Victoria Bruce recommends âMeasure of a Mountain,â by Bruce Barcot.
