Trump is rightly mocked, but why did Canada follow his orders?

Jan. 16, 2021, 8:53 p.m.
Phil discusses the Trump phenomenon and the eternal Groundhog Day of U.S. politics, and moves on to Canada the "middle power" and Meng Wanzhou. By ordering our obedient government to arrest Meng, Trump sabotaged Canada's multilateral trade policy, hurting our relationship with a rapidly booming economic powerhouse. We all call Trump a maniac, yet Trudeau obeys him. Had Trudeau challenged Trump, the Democrats would not have been in Trudeau's corner. There was no censorship of Trump by Facebook or Twitter when Trump brazenly announced on Twitter that he had assassinated war hero General Soleimani on Jan. 3, 2020, while he was on an official mission of peace to Baghdad at the personal invitation of the Iraqi PM. Trudeau has repeatedly stated he's not happy with Iran's handling of the accidental shooting down of a Ukrainian airliner over Tehran during the near-war that Trump touched-off. 4 of the '5-Eyes' countries issued a statement condemning Iran. Trudeau, however, did not condemn Trump's assassination of Soleimani. Nor has the media, which echoes Trudeau's every remark. Recall that Michael McCain, CEO of Maple Leaf Foods, was loud in blaming Trump for the disaster, which took the lives of members of the family of one of his employees. McCain correctly pointed out that there wouldn't have been an airline disaster without Trump's illegal assassination of Soleimani.

Part 2: Insurrection: A New Day of Infamy, Rooted in Centuries Old White Supremacy!

Jan. 16, 2021, 8:55 a.m.
This is Part 2 of a 2 Part Program. Part 1 was featured last week. Insurrection Part 2:: The Chickens Coming Home To Roost with Eric Ward, Ex. Dir. and Senior Fellow with Southern Poverty Law Center and Race Forward and Ex. Dir. of Western States Center, a national hub for innovative responses to white nationalism, and structural inequality Ward is a nationally-recognized expert on the relationship between authoritarian movements, hate violence, and building toward an inclusive democracy. While its a New Day of Infamy, its Rooted in Centuries Old White Supremacy! The far-right siege on the U.S. Capitol has been called unbelievable, shocking, and beyond imagination, but, lets not forget the attacks on statehouses around the nation and all the symbols hate deployed (guillotine, hangmans noose, confederate and Nazi iconography), though they received far less coverage. The playbook for the Maga invasion of the nations Capitol building has been developing for years in plain sight, at far-right rallies in cities like Charlottesville, Berkeley and Portland, and then, in the past year, at state capitols across the country, where heavily armed white protesters have forced their way into legislative chambers to accuse politicians of tyranny and treason. While what happened was outrageous and wrong, was it really unbelievable? The far rights fears about replacement of the white race and outsider invasions have become standard tropes at conservative media outlets, and its anger is routinely stoked by the president of the United States and his cronies. White nationalism is closer to the mainstream of American politics than ever before. This is a dangerous and scary time, but it is not the first, and wont be the last eruption of the white supremacist violence we experience. Lets not get fooled thinking the 25th Amendment, Impeachment, prosecutions of insurrectionists and/or those in power who incited violence/sedition will end this. Historians are rightly making connections to the civil war, including declaring the confederacy finally stormed the Capitol. But white supremacy goes deeper than the civil war and pre-dates slavery " it is foundational to the U.S. settler state. So, instead of being shocked, this time, lets learn our history and lets start showing up for racial justice, against poverty and for economic justice, as internationalists and against militarism, and live that credo and standing firmly against red-baiting

Donald Drumpf Theatre Volume 209 White Riot

Jan. 13, 2021, 8:53 p.m.
REPLACEMENT SHOW COMING IN TWO WEEKS An original radio theatre show each week, with most sounds culled from the previous week, about a fictional, theatrical presidency. Contradictions tell the story, with songs, skits, and clips from political news shows and late-night comedy routines. The definition of "radio theatre" is stretched here, with an updated Dickie Goodman and/or Richard Foreman-meets-mashup style sometimes, and a more straightforward take other weeks. Currently airing on 30 or 40 stations around the world, the network has ordered another two more episodes. Then a new show, "Turn on the News," takes its place, in the same time slot, with a similar sound and approach, though about a fictional radio network.

When will Congress Impeach American Exceptionalism?

Jan. 13, 2021, 4:14 p.m.
Phil Taylor and Phil Conlon walk us through the issues of our moment, from the lack of a public health system in the United States, to the kerfuffle in Washington. What has Secretary-of-State Pompeo been up to while all eyes are on Trump? Pompeo's ambassador has announced that the United States will no longer constrain diplomatic relations with Taiwan. Note that when it comes to foreign affairs, Democrats have endorsed most of what Trump did. Do they endorse the escalation against China? The Democrats supported Trump when he moved the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and when he claimed that the Golan Heights belonged to Israel. They supported him when he negotiated recognition of Israel by the Arab states, without liberating Palestine. This involved allowing Morocco to claim the Western Sahara, a dispute that risks war. When Trump sets fire to various parts of the world, the Democrats acquiesce. Only when his supporters cause a ruckus at home do they react. And with the appointment of Victoria Nuland, we see that the 'new' Biden administration is the old Obama administration. Remember how Obama was supposed to save us from the madman Bush? It's Groundhog Day for Americans.

Episode 2021.00.01. EMERGENCY PODCAST EPISODE Addendum, How Did We Get Here? The Two Republican Characters

Jan. 13, 2021, 9:26 a.m.
Class War Battlefield Podcast Episode 2021.00.01 EMERGENCY PODCAST EPISODE Addendum How Did We Get Here The Broken Society, and, the War Between the Republican Characters Gathering my thoughts around the events that occurred on January 6th 2021, I recorded this addendum on a topic I will speak more forcefully about over the next twelve months – the true “divide” defining this country. In this episode segment I have coined the phrase “Republican Characters” to describe the two competing ideological arguments set forward by Northern Secularists and Southern Theocrats during the years and decades immediately after the 1776 “Revolution”. These two arguments, when combined with the Federalist and Anti-Federalist movements occurring during the American Confederacy years; and in later years the Segregationist and Anti-Segregationist movements; thoroughly shaped the governmental strategies and political aims for each party. In the 1960s, as was the case in the early 1800s and the reconstruction decade of 1865-1875; one ideological camp checkmated the political strategies of the other camp. In the 1960s, the Anti-Segregationists checkmated the Segregationists and started a policy of political economic integration of the latter; this was essentially the continuance of the North’s attempt during the Reconstruction decade to economically integrate the South into its financial culture. History tells us, despite these seemingly watershed moments where one side has won over the other, proceeding events disprove this assumption. In this episode segment I suggest the reason why this assumption does not hold true is because the true fight was never about Segregationist or Non-Segregationist (Uncle Tom’s Cabins’ author Harriet Beecher Stowe does a marvelous job dispelling this myth) or to a far lesser extent, though move heavily weighing on the institutional structures we have come to rely on for this nation’s health, about Federalist or Anti-Federalist; but more about a Republican Agenda built from competing Republican Structures derived from A system of Republican Philosophy, Laws & Constitutional Organs which could be split up into two separate groups, both deriving themselves from Eurocentric Christian Governmental norms that preceded the country; the first was chiefly found in the South, it could be called a Theocratic Oligarchic Republican System, while the second was chiefly found in the North and could be called a Secular Christian Oligarchic Republican System. Buckle up, this ride will get bumpy. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please contact me at vphiamer.adis.ogaarwa@outlook.com

The Treaty of Ruby Valley and Goldmines on Shoshone Land

Jan. 12, 2021, 5:42 p.m.
For over 40 years the Dann Sisters were keeping Shoshone tradition and land rights alive against formidable opposition: Expanding gold mines, confiscation of their horses and cattle by armed federal agents and nuclear testing and waste storage. Christopher Sewall was Environmental Program Director of the Western Shoshone Defense Project from 1992-2005. He spoke at the entrance to the Nevada Test site at the Shoshone peace and anti nuclear gathering in May 2003 - unraveling the broken Treaty of Ruby Valley of 1863. We were broadcasting him on a micro power radio station LIVE into the high security area of the test site that was then administered by the Bechtel corporation and guarded by the Wackenhuts. The Western Shoshone had issued us a license to broadcast - bypassing the FCC. Our Land, Our Life is a documentary film by Beth and George Gage. Much of it filmed on the Dann Ranch where chickens and dogs have free run of the house and trucks filled with hay are always moving to feed the cattle and horses.
