Has the Social Distortion Afflicting America Become to Advanced to Save The Country From It
I recorded this in November, watching what has taken place since its recording, I find the clip included (featuring Chris Hedges) as prophetic and deeply troubling. When Lawrence Summers, whom Adam Tooze in his book Crashed suggested had learned from his previous Neoliberal mistakes; came out against $2,000 checks because he feared such a thing would âoverheat the economyâ, a phrase unfamiliar to those of us living in the actual economy â I knew the past was prophetic and Joe Biden would play the role Chris Hedges outlined in the second of the two clips I included from the 2018 podcast interview I clipped them from (the podcast title is FOR THE WORLD, the interview is stunningly relevant today considering it was recorded in 2018). More, this segment, which serves more as an introduction to the rest of the other segments, lays out a fear, that is built upon in 2020.0B.01, which I continue to have till this very day.

This Fear I Have
. . . .The Shadows Keep Running Across My Mind
I found the beginning to the Amanpour and Company segment included at the podcasts start, shocking. âAs the rest of the world waits for a formal transition to begin. . .â a statement uttered on November 11, 2020; my mind was jettisoned back to the 1990s where this statement would have been crooned by Tom Brokaw, Dan Rather or Peter Jennings in a segment covering the fits and starts of an immature or deteriorating political system in either South America, after a United States Coup or the former Soviet Republics after a Bankers coup. I had recorded this segment several times before believing it accurately reflected my thinking process behind what I keep calling âthe shadows running across my mindâ; having planned on publishing the segment during Thanksgiving, the addition of Masha Gessenâs interview confirmed my suspicion that time was needed to perfect its content. To the reader this is likely unimportant, but to me timing is everything, as I think Americans will soon see, we are in a time when presence is the key to overcoming the problems presented, those refusing to accept the way things are and how they become that way, will make turmoil, fragmentation and ultimately destructive tendency the norm; thus pushing America into a deep spiritual and cultural depression which may pull the nation apart permanently. Though this is a broader picture, as you will hear in the following segment, I have other more pressing concerns for today.
Class War Battlefield Podcast Episode 2020.0B.02
The Fourth and Fifth Evils in American Society
Turning to Dr. Kingâs Three Evils of Society speech, I thought about a fourth and fifth evil which should be explored and detailed. These Evils, might be more readily called maladies, have been part of America for its entire existence, so they wonât be alien or new to anyone who has had the mind to look deeply at American History for more than 5 years, though even a 5 year cursory look at American History, that being 2015-2020 would probably uncover these maladies also. Birtherism tops that list. But I digress, Dr. Kingâs Three Evils of Society was an introduction to what he saw as a shifting mission for SCLC, four months prior to delivering that speech he spoke about the original motto for his organization, âTo Save the Soul of Americaâ which says a lot about a man whom was to be the most hated person throughout the country because of the speech he used to explain that point. I marvel at his sacrifices during those years, I admire his courage and his honor; for this reason I offer this segment to anyone who cares about this country as much as he did.

Voting,
A Multi-Dimensional Act
Voting, we are told, is a one-dimensional act. Walk into a booth, draw a level, or push a computerized button and walk away; but that is not what Voting actually is; there is a reason why people keep referring to an informed electorate, because without information, particularly truthful information, voting becomes an act without meaning. Just selecting ones favorite party or voting against another, has as much importance as picking a favorite sports team though the consequences in voting for one of the two corporate parties are far graver than selecting a sports team. In this segment I attempt to explain the many layers to voting, and why activists need to spend more time on explaining the connection between activism, voting and movement building.

Rwandans Denied their Rights Because the West gave Kagame Immunity
Jan. 2, 2021, 11:30 p.m.
Regarding Paul Rusesabagina, Phil argues that the injustice of his arrest, rendition, and torture derives from the original failure of the USA, UK, and Canada to live up to the Arusha Accords, and to arrange for peace in Rwanda. Instead of peace, these countries backed a coup in Kigali in 1994 by the expatriate Tutsi invaders known as the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF).
Since 1994, the Rwandan people have been martyred to keep RPF leader Paul Kagame in power. Like Victoire Ingabire, Rusesabagina will not get justice in Rwanda. That's why supporters of justice should demand that Rusesabagina should be released from Rwanda and allowed to return to the USA or Belgium.

Herman's Radio & Record Room #12
Jan. 2, 2021, 12:15 p.m.
My dad Herman Frederick Moe was a radio engineer & TV repairman, a country & western "cowboy singer" and rustic guitar player. He performed in the late 1930âs on live radio before he enlisted in World War II as a radio-telephone technician. This show is my homage to him.
My father loved the other side of radio as well â the listening side â it kept him company during many lonesome nights in the 30âs, 40âs, 50âs & 60's.
From my imagination to your ears â itâs WHFM â vintage music from mid century America. This is music that I believe he would have enjoyed.

Donald Drumpf Theatre Volume 207 Martial Law
Dec. 30, 2020, 8:55 p.m.
NEW REPLACEMENT SHOW COMING SOON.
An original radio theatre show each week, with most sounds culled from the previous week, about a fictional, theatrical presidency. Contradictions tell the story, with songs, skits, and clips from political news shows and late-night comedy routines. The definition of "radio theatre" is stretched here, with an updated Dickie Goodman and/or Richard Foreman-meets-mashup style sometimes, and a more straightforward take other weeks. Currently airing on 30 or 40 stations around the world, the network has ordered another three or four episodes. Then a new show, "Turn on the News," takes its place, in the same time slot, with a similar sound and approach, though about a fictional radio network.
"Wavy Gravy - You've Got to be Kidding "
Dec. 30, 2020, 7:55 p.m.
Radio Curious is a program of interviews with those we wonder about. Iâve often wondered about Woodstock of 1969. Iâve often wondered how it got going and what its ramifications were. Why does the recollection make some people puke? So, I thought Iâd ask Wavy Gravy, a man with insight on the subject far beyond most other people. We discussed Woodstock and other stories in July of 2000.
The books Wavy Gravy recommends are "The Laughing Sutra," by Mark Salzman, and "Angelas Ashes, A Memoir" by Frank McCourt.
Originally Broadcast: July 25, 2000

Sonic Cafe #219/The Ghettos of Seattle
Dec. 30, 2020, 12:40 p.m.
Sonic Café, Alice in Chains music from 1992, so welcome to another hour of head phone friendly music, comedy and pop culture, Iâm your host Scott Clark and this is episode 219. The Seattle sound, more commonly know as the grunge, originated here in the Pacific Northwest in the late 80âs and became one of the most powerful forces shaping the music of the 90âs. Though grunge may just be some marketing term, the music was an authentic movement to revive the rebellious roots, of punk and rock nâ roll. This time Sonic Café presents the ghettos of Seattle. Listen for Billy Anderson, a Seattle transplant from Georgia, as he shares his observations of the emerald city in a music mix that celebrates many of the artists whose names became synonymous with the grunge movement, including Soundgarden, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, and of course many more, as we pay a visit to the ghettos of Seattle this time from that little café on the coast in ahh the grungy Pacific northwest, where we all wear flannel, and drink craft brew from our artisanal beer mugs, ahem weâre the Sonic Café.
