Donald Drumpf Theatre Vol. 133 Mueller Testifies

An original radio theatre show each week, with most sounds culled from the previous week, about a fictional, theatrical presidency. Contradictions tell the story, with songs, skits, and clips from political news shows and late-night comedy routines. The definition of "radio theatre" is stretched here, with an updated Dickie Goodman and/or Richard Foreman-meets-mashup style sometimes, and a more straightforward take other weeks. Currently airing on 30 or 40 stations around the world, the network has ordered another 15 episodes, but there are threats of cancellation. Anyone who would like to work on a production, or have their work air in this timeslot, should contact info@wgxc.org.

Thereâs good technology now for extracting impurities and making even the dirtiest water potable. And some water districts around the country are taking this technology to scale. This week on Sea Change Radio, we dig into the archives and hear from Mike Markus, the General Manager of the Orange County, California Water District. Orange Countyâs practices may represent the high water-mark for the re-use of H2O. Then, we speak with Donnel Baird, the founder and CEO of BlocPower, a startup that uses technology to retrofit buildings in financially underserved communities. Baird explains BlocPowerâs business model, tells us what inspired him to start the company, and talks about the challenges that the current political environment brings.

FBI Secrets: An Agentâs Expose
Agents at the Federal Bureau of Investigation have a history of illegal break-ins to homes and offices and conducting wiretaps without a search warrant. In the years when J. Edgar Hoover was the Director of the F.B.I., these warrantless break-ins came to be known as âblack-bag jobsâ. This archive edition of Radio Curious is a December 1995 interview with Wesley Swearingen a former F.B.I. agent, who in 1995 wrote âFBI Secrets: An Agentâs Expose.â His book describes some of the âblack-bagâ warrantless searches in which he was involved and his opinion of those activities. He ends his book by saying that the Hoover era will continue to haunt the F.B.I. because Hoover knowingly undermined the United States Constitution. When I spoke with Wesley Swearingen, I asked him what he meant by that.

The "Seven Sisters" was Big Oil--the cartel of corporations that came to own almost all the oil in the Middle East. They gained this treasure by hook and by crook, in violation of the law, with help from corrupt monarchs abroad and the U.S. government, armed forces, and CIA.
We adapt to radio a fine documentary. This week, Part 1 takes us from the founding of the cartel in 1928 (by Standard Oil, Shell, and BP) to the creation of OPEC in 1960.
