#553 -- Climate Change Hope (R)

Oct. 7, 2018, 11:09 a.m.
Australian climate scientist Tim Flannery reviews some new, cutting-edge approaches to restraining or halting global warming. Flannery opposes risky "geoengineering" schemes. But the new, "Third Way" approaches, he says, are different. Based on natural processes, they actually remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. These new technologies--combined with a shift from fossil fuels to wind and solar power--give us some reason to hope that climate catastrophe may be averted.

Episode 2018.07. Cave-Oh-Nah A Stolen Supreme Court by Elements Planning for the Future!

Oct. 7, 2018, 3:25 a.m.
He’s going to the Supreme Court – breath and let that knowledge sink into your mind. Twice in 18 years Republican-Fascists and their Conservative enablers have stolen the White House, details inside this two part unabridged podcast episode; in doing so they have crafted a court apparatus, conservative – sorry, Corporatist in their beliefs, to keep the country going down a dirty road where citizens, now dubbed consumers, are deprived of their basic civil liberties and rights (Welcome to the Ghetto European Serfs, y’all thought you had left that position when you boarded your ships for other lands, well you didn’t – yet you keep backing those who have subjugated you for over a thousand years). In today’s episode I discuss who did meddle in our elections and where the evidence lays to prove their guilt and I deal with the elephant in the room, the sexual misconduct/ abuse charges lobed at Kavanaugh. Hold on tight todays episode, while soft spoken, will twist your mind. Enjoy. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please contact me at vphiamer.adis.ogaarwa@outlook.com

Episode 2018.06. Oaths Taken to Preserve Conservatism not the Country

Oct. 7, 2018, 3:18 a.m.
Sometimes conspiracies do occur. Watching the Constitutional Crisis unfold on television or should I say, listening to it unfold on the internet and radio; I found myself thinking about The Family – the right wing crazies who took oaths to do Gods will which seemed to be aligned with corporate will, while they operated in Washington. I wondered, as conservative after conservative pledged allegiance to the party towing line (to support this pathetic nominee to the Supreme Court), if The Family was at work behind the scenes in Washington Presently. While there is very little evidence supporting my theory, I nonetheless raise it as a possibility before talking about other Constitutional Crisis’ that have happened in the recent past, including the Election of Donald Trump and how his placement in the white house proved how dead the constitution was to the Elite in this country. Orwell & Huxley - Part 1

Oct. 6, 2018, 7:03 a.m.
Devotees of Orwell and Huxley have endlessly debated whether one would likely be more accurate than the other in his dark view of the future. Some think that one’s prescience was necessarily the abnegation of the other’s. In these audios, besides discussing the wrong approach with which these books were presented in high school, treating them more as metaphors rather than credible forewarnings about the potential dangers looming in the future. The works’ strong points are also advanced and treated as confirmation that Orwell and Huxley, jointly, were far more right than wrong. But now that the days they envisioned are upon us, how much of their dim views have come and are coming to fruition? And are readers of both authors any more aware that their signature works were not fiction?

Puerto Rico: A Junta By Any Other Name Part 2

Oct. 5, 2018, 11:59 a.m.
A Building Bridges Special! Puerto Rico: A Junta By Any Other Name (Part 2) Just Like a Tree Standing by the Water, We Will Not be Moved, Puerto Rico a Nation of Resilience and Resistance! featuring among the hundreds of Puerto Rican activists and their supporters: . Elizabeth Yeampierre, ex. dir. of the Latino community-based group, UPROSE, . Naomi Klein, author, The Battle For Paradise: Puerto Rico Takes on the Disaster Capitalists . Caridad de la Luz, also known as La Bruja, Puerto Rican poet . Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, New York congressional candidate . David Galarza Santa, a Puerto Rican labor and community activist Its a matter of historical record that capitalism's relationship with the island has always been one of exploitation and plunder. While Hurricane Marias winds roared across the island, destroying Puerto Ricos infrastructure and in its wake more than 3,000 would die, so too are the evil winds of colonialism, in the form of the U.S. Congress imposition of its Fiscal Control Board (a dictatorial Junta) ravishing the island and threatening its people. However, one year after Maria, the Puerto Rican diaspora is charting a new path forward, vibrantly proclaimed as hundreds gathered in Manhattans Union Square for an event organized by a community-led initiative called #OurPowerPRnyc, created to call out injustices in the U.S. governments response to Maria. Again and again, speakers at the event called for the islands people to be able to chart their own future " and escape the federal governments grip. They took to the mic calling to drop the debt, eliminate the Jones Act, a transition to renewable energy that leaves no resident behind, a Marshall Plan-type effort to help Puerto Rico recover economically, and for self-determination of the island. In response, a voice in the audience called out, We need independence! Say it! Its the only answer at this point.
