Selective Assessment: Deconstructing the Kremlin's Existentialist Strategy of Hypernormalisation Against North American Cognitive Dissonance
Feb. 25, 2018, 8:27 p.m.
SUMMARY: In this spoken-word dispatch presented by @TheAngryindian, the Russian governmentâs likely âHackingâ of US social media networks in an effort to sow internal dissent within the United States comes into focus; as the host points out the nonsense and political hypocrisy laced within the mainstream as well as radical areas of debate surrounding the issue. Now that the question of whether or not Russian and external-Russian interests created a network of internet based Troll-Farms has been answered, [Naira Davlashyan & Irina Titova - Russian Troll Farm Workers Say Mueller Indictments Are True | Time.com http://twitthat.com/CgnQL] why are US leftists still tacitly defending the ârightâ of the Russian government, via proxies, to interfere within American politics? The fact that Russian fascists are working together with neo-Nazis in Ukraine; Germany; United Kingdom; Canada; France; Australia; New Zealand and in Belgium â connected in many ways to the vast neo-fascist conspiracy far-right terrorist Anders Behring Breivik claimed exist underground within the Europocentrist/Anglophone countries during his trial.[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anders_Behring_Breivik#Intellectual_influences]
The host is not suggesting that clandestine efforts by the Russian government actually helped to change (much) in the way of popular voting among eligible and active US voters â especially since it is clear that Hillary âSuper-predatorâ Clinton â pro-or-con actually won through the popular vote â [Steven Porter - Clinton wins US popular vote by widest margin of any losing presidential candidate â CSMonitor.com http://twitthat.com/E7uqt], as much as it as an issue of the Russian government making use of existing racial/religious divisions that certainly did have an impact on US political policy as it applies to the legal and extralegal suppression of non-Europeans and antifascist/antiracist movements and activists [Clarence Page - Column: FBI needs to explain its war on 'black identity extremists'] under the watchful eye of a Trump administration that ran pro-fascist propaganda from the very start of Donald J. Trumpâs entry to the presidential campaign. [Amanda Holpuch - Donald Trump campaign tweets photo with Nazi soldiers â then leads polls | US news | The Guardian]

#521 -- The Hidden Ideology of the News Media, Part 1 (R)
Feb. 25, 2018, 6:10 p.m.
Another in our series of classic talks by Progressive political scientist MICHAEL PARENTI. This one--one of his best--dates from 1997.
This week, in Part 2, Parenti focuses on examples of U.S. imperialism and predatory corporate capitalism--and the role of the news media in promoting both.
Parenti demolishes the myth of "the liberal media." With wit, humor, facts, and examples, he shows the US news media to be little more than the propaganda arm of the corporations and the government.

This sedition of Subversion #1312 features an interview with anarchist Jessica Harrison. Jessica lives in Wonthaggi in Victoria. She is active in the Australian Unemployed Workers Union.
The union recent;y had a bit of a win when the government was unable to reach a deal with the Nick Xenophon Team regarding welfare reforms, which would see an expansion of the cashless welfare card.
As the name suggests the AUWU which was founded in 2014 fights for the rights of unemployed workers.
They say it was when the Howard government introduced work for the dole in 1997-98 that a radical change in the attitude towards the unemployed occurred âquote overnight the unemployed began to be treated like criminalsâ.

Black History Month: Black Bolsheviks
Feb. 24, 2018, 10:04 p.m.
Tonight, on my final show of Black History Month, Iâm going to talk about two lesser known African-Americans who you wonât hear about in school. In the current witch-hunt atmosphere in America today, both of these men would most likely be demonized as traitors and foreign agents, just as Paul Robeson was in his own time. But Harry Haywood and Oliver Law would no doubt smile at this slander and laugh, for both of them knew what they were fighting for. They were communists. Black Bolsheviks. Internationalists. And they were fighting for the liberation of their people just as they were fighting for the liberation of all the wretched of the earth. They understood how it was all connected.

How California Unions Resist Trumps Anti-Immigrant Raids
Feb. 24, 2018, 3:50 p.m.
While ICE Raided Nearly 100 7-Eleven Stores in Pre-Dawn Nationwide Sweeps, California Unions Resists Trumps Anti-Immigrant Actions
with
Rusty Hicks, President of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor
California unions are moving to protect undocumented workers and immigrants
against attacks from the Trump regime. They are vigorously supporting AB450, a bill introduced by state Rep. David Chiu, D-San Francisco, which gives undocumented immigrants affirmative protections against indiscriminate raids by agents from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE). And then they darned their armor, after learning agents from the Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement would be visiting a 7-Eleven store in Koreatown to conduct interviews and an audit, and decided to stage a protest outside of the store, holding signs that read, Immigrants are welcome here. ICE raided close to one hundred 7-Eleven stores nation-wide, including five in Los Angeles. While people were arrested in other states, none were arrested in Southern California, however ICE issued a statement saying there were would be more raids to come.
