— For some reason this server is not letting me play my show on this site. If you are having the same problem, here is an alternative: Olympia Version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ehhu0hgy3u4hpqm/TB%20171208%20Snow%20White%20%E2%80%94%20or%20the%20Wicked%20Witch%3F.mp3?dl=0 Seattle Version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nh3vhzys2gy3h6e/TB%20171208%20Snow%20White%20%E2%80%94%20or%20the%20Wicked%20Witch%3F%20%28OT%29%202X.mp3?dl=0 This will take you to a Dropbox folder. They will ask you to open a free account but you do not need to open an account to listen to or to download files. Sorry for the inconvenience. This week’s archive radio show starts off with a left-handed acknowledgement of ‘progress’ on the racial front (what with Harriet Tubman’s impending appearance on the American $20 bill and all), and then we comment upon the fact that Exxon Mobil’s scientists predicted climate change and sea level rise back in the 70’s. For the feature piece, we unveil — with deep reluctance — some very questionable things that are happening around ‘First Look’ and Edward Snowden — even as we also reveal as a result some truly shocking information about CIA involvement in the development and promotion of encryption technology. Jeez! They are EVERYWHERE! Which is exactly why you need the Thunderbolt!

Out of the Woods - Show #401 - 12-16-17

Dec. 7, 2017, 8:30 a.m.
This version of the program is divided into 6 segments so broadcasters who desire to use this content can insert your station info, etc. The segments vary in length. Out of the Woods is an earthy, wires and wood, mostly acoustic program featuring some of the best new and established artists from the worlds of folk, bluegrass, singer-songwriters, alt.country, Americana, classic country, old-time, Celtic, and everything that falls in between. The show is an unpredictable mix flowing like a river between moods, often with an edge or in a melancholy minor key. On occasion, Out of the Woods features interviews and live in-studio performances with national and international touring musicians. Past guests have included artists such as Bela Fleck, Si Kahn, Brown Bird, Dana Robinson, Steve Gillette & Cindy Mangsen, Kate MacLeod, Bill Bourne, Karl Shiflett, Rachel Bissex, Darryl Purpose, Bow Thayer, Cosy Sheridan and many others. Out of the Woods grew out of Jon 'Chip' Colcord's former acoustic programs, The Song Swap and Music For The Mountain, separate folk and bluegrass programs which aired in New Hampshire during the 1990s. As a child, Colcord grew up a ravenous music fan with an ear for both rock and folk. All of these influences converge on Out of the Woods to bring you a mix which is as much on the edge as it is down home. Folk music with a rock 'n' roll soul

Nuclear Power- No meaningful effect on reversing climate change

Dec. 6, 2017, 8:49 p.m.
Speaking on the environment and nuclear power, Arnie Gundersen briefly explains the relationship of CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere and the increasing global average temperature resulting from burning fossil fuels to meet energy needs. Nuclear power advocates promote their technology as a way to reduce carbon build up in the atmosphere. Gundersen debunks that assertion flat out. He offers the nuclear industry's own data to make his case that the CO2 reduction from nuclear power is insignificant, .009 GT per plant, and that the time line to build, 20 years, is too long and too expensive, 8Trillion dollars for 1000 new units, that the industry claims are needed. Solar and wind can now do more, faster, with a lower start up cost, and when coupled to the battery storage system that Elon Musk has demonstrated can be affordably built, now has the stability to reliably provide for current and future energy needs.

DECEMBER 6, 2017 - THE CIA & THE JFK/RFK/MLK ASSASSINATIONS

Dec. 6, 2017, 9:12 a.m.
This show is an interview with local Author and Forensic Historian Patrick Nolan about his 2015 book called: CIA Rogues and the Killing of the Kennedys: How and Why US Agents Conspired to Assassinate JFK and RFK. MK Ultra and Operation Mockingird are discussed. While Patrick's research into the assassinations is well done, he has not done any research on 9/11 and indicates in the preface that those who question the official story are mistaken. After the interview, we discussed 9/11 and shared some brochures on the subject. It is my hope that Patrick will turn his great research skills to 9/11 and then come back on the show to discuss.
