TB 170505 Unquestioned Assumptions
May 5, 2017, 5:03 a.m.
We start this weekâs radio program right off the bat by prognosticating the possibility that God might be some nerd from a completely different space-time continuum who is completely unaware of our very existence.
Next, we point out the fact that the Rump has now obviously been thoroughly schooled (possibly provided with a reminder of John F. Kennedyâs fate) and that our rebel president is now playing ball â meaning that we can count on more business-as-usual.
That, of course, is exactly the problem.
Then, we contemplate the irony of the fact that governments were originally formed to protect us from mother stabbers and father rapers rather than acting as their hired hit men.
Next, the Toothless Old Grandpa makes an appearance and he reveals how the Rump managed to trick Rachel Maddow â of all people â into disseminating some pro-Rump propaganda for him! (Whoever came up with that one probably received a hefty bonusâ¦)
Then â for the feature Thunderbolt this week â we strongly suggest when it comes to heinous war crimes that you should never assume anything. We would instead highly recommend that you ask this simple question: Who benefits?
Conspiracy theories (n): When people dare to speak unspeakable truths.
Cover the childrenâs ears (or not). Itâs time for a few Thunderbolts!

Sonic Cafe #35 - Taking Over The WORLD!
May 4, 2017, 8:53 a.m.
Itâs the Sonic Café. Iâm your host Scott Clark. Hey, welcome to episode 35. This time the Sonic Café is bent on world domination. Since the beginning of time thereâs always been one megalomaniac or another attempting to take over the world. But so far no one has succeeded ⦠and we feel the only thing thatâs stopped them is the lack of a proper music soundtrack⦠which weâre about to remedy with a mix of music spanning 38 years including tunes about war and tunes against war⦠even one urging us to chill out and JUST Give Peace A Chance⦠but whereâs the fun in that? Right? Because you see we humans are a very warlike species⦠whether itâs Money, Power or Turf ⦠thereâs always been those among us that can never get enough. Listen as President Ronald Reagan jokingly declares war on Russia during a hot mic moment ⦠all in good fun of course ⦠as we provide a soundtrack designed to help you take over the world ⦠if thatâs your thing. Right here at the Sonic Café.

Donald Drumpf Theatre Vol. 16 It's So Easy. The show is a make-believe listen to what might happen if a reality television star became the leader of the free world. The show features news clips and songs cut in a way similar to Dickie Goodman, with a Richard Foreman-meets-mashup style. Contributions are welcome to info@wgxc.org. It's a fake news show about the past week that's actually radio theatre, so the news is true.

Because it's important, we reprise our show from last August 14. The Palestinian voice we feature is that of Columbia University Professor Rashid Khalidi. In spring 2016, Khalidi delivered and read a paper at the University of London's SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies). Its title: The Hundred Year War in Palestine. It explores the context of the Zionist colonization of Palestine going all the way back to the 1917 British mandate.
Quoting from his precis: "The Balfour Declaration of 1917 launched what amounts to a hundred years of war against the Palestinians. This war had a unique nature â it was formally sanctioned and authorized by the great powers of the day at different times during this century, and via different fora, such as the League of Nations and the United Nations, but it was mainly waged by other actors. A much distorted and maligned feature of this long war has been the Palestiniansâ continuing resistance, against heavy odds, to what amounts to one of the last ongoing attempts at colonial subjugation in the modern world."
Rashid Khalidi is the Edward Said Professor of Arab Studies and Chairman of the Department of History at Columbia University. Khalidi is the author numerous books, including The Iron Cage: The Story of the Palestinian Struggle for Statehood and Brokers of Deceit: How the U.S. Has Undermined Peace in the Middle East.
Prepare to take notes and/or re-listen; there's a tremendous amount of detail.
