Police Accountability and Radical Solidarity
March 5, 2017, 1:36 p.m.
This interview is with Fr Dowling of St. Agatha Church about the campaign in Chicago to change language in the current Police union contracts that protect bad cops, enabling them to remain on the force. CPD command officers and past Cook County States Attorneys have protected criminal cops who then continue to violate their office. There is a code of retribution should honest cops speak out.
Fr Dowling speaks about the restorative work of community rebuilding in violence and drug plagued neighborhoods through "peace circles" that build trust through listening. Another program defends low wage workers from wage theft by their employers. Wage theft jn Chicago currently averages one million dollars a day.

Episode 2017.05 - Slapping CPAC With Words Coming From Their Own Mouths
March 5, 2017, 3:31 a.m.
Where you wondering what was happening at CPAC this year? Neither was I until I received a feed update which led me to Donald Trumpâs presentation there. I wish I could say the information coming out of this bastion of Conservative thought was promising, but Iâd be lying. Strategy was not on their menu, but gloating was â for some reason theyâre still hyped over their big electoral win in November. So, why am I bothering with the conference if strategy wasnât the main topic â well, first if youâve studied any conservative literature you know the devil is always in the detail. Second, if youâve every listened to any conservative speak, you know the same can be said about their pronunciations. The lines where sharply drawn in this CPAC convention as always, however somethings were said which are noteworthy. I tried highlighting some of those things in the clips I provided. NOTE: Pay close attention to the applause Obamacare receives, Conservatives are running into a wall with that tag line. Peace
Anglophonic Hyper-Normalisations: The Postmodernist Political Theory of Relative Quantity
March 4, 2017, 10:07 p.m.
This dispatch finds @TheAngryindian speaking further about the âintellectual disconnectâ infecting the wider Anglophone political discourse and how Fourth World communities and other Peoples of Colour (PoCâs) in North America and around the world are coping (bravely) against the new social realities of politicised White Supremacy after World War Two. Under the watchful eye of the far-right Trump Administration, MAGA (Make American Great Again) âmovementâ foot-soldiers are committing acts of domestic terrorism â in Trumpâs name â across North America; #StandingRock, #NoDAPL and #StopSabalTrail water protectors (especially Native women), civilian observers and certified journalists face physical and legal abuse from both law enforcement and private security contractors; mass immigration round-ups have begun and the NRA is talking about launching an âalternative security forceâ to protect this âNew World Orderâ. In response, the US far-Left and many non-European political pundits have decided to downplay the damage being done (and threatened) by the GOP in favour of hyper-normalisation by promoting the (false) notion that Trump and his Holocaust-denying compatriots are (perhaps) no less dangerous than the DNC and maybe less so. Clearly, something is seriously wrong when the political Left in a given society is willing to mimic their neoconservative opposition by adopting their ideological positions, including their false political propaganda and revisionist memes rife with Judeophobia and anti-Progressive âsheep-dippingâ. Does this have to be the ânew normalâ?
EXTRAS: Audio excerpts pulled from âHyper-normalisationâ and other bits and pieces of information not allowed on corporate-owned North American talk-radio programmes operating over the AM/FM transmission bands.

Angela Davis on Trump - Trying to Make America White Again
March 4, 2017, 10:41 a.m.
Angela Davis on Trump -
Trying to Make America White Again
Socialist, iconic scholar, and activist Angela Davis takes on Trump in this stirring call for protest linking his victory to Americas history of racism and capitalism. She builds bridges between numerous issues and ongoing movements for social change starting with support for Native Americans, black lives matter, ending mass incarceration and the death penalty, feminism, labor, immigration and the environment. She calls for a robust reaction not organized by the elite but based on community and workplace activism to fight not only Trump but also a system built on racism and the capitalism. And she notes that Clintons enthusiasm
even among women was at best tepid because she adhered to a bourgeois or middle class feminism that played down the needs of working class and women of color.

interviews housing advocate/activist Ivan Drury
March 3, 2017, 4:07 p.m.
Host Stuart Richardson interviews long time housing advocate/activist Ivan Drury, we speak about the large scale gentrification project going on in the Burnaby Metrotown area where thousands of low income tenants face reno-viction as their affordable homes get bulldozed for high priced condo developments.
How this story is unfolding in big cities all across North American and how investors only see homes as another commodity to flip leaving renters with limited options, many becoming homeless or living in precarious housing arrangements.
We speak about how all levels of government and political stripes have abandoned this community preferring to favor developer interests. How this problem manifests in a Neo-Liberal capitalist market place and how only more radical view of a people first based community must take form.
