David Camfield is an associate professor in the labour studies program at the University of Manitoba. He is the author of Canadian Labour in Crisis: Reinventing the Workers' Movement.

Brent Dean Robbins is Director of Psychology at Point Park University and co-chair of the International DSM-5 Response Committee.

Anthony Leiserowitz is a research scientist, lecturer, and director of the Yale Project on Climate Change Communication.

The Whitehouse Coup
Retired Marine Corps Major General Smedley Butler claimed that wealthy businessmen were plotting to create a fascist veterans' organization and use it in a coup d'état to overthrow U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, with Butler as leader of that organization. In 1934, Butler testified to the Special Committee on Un-American Activities Congressional committee.
The coup planned to toppling President Franklin D Roosevelt with the help of half-a-million war veterans. The plotters, who were alleged to involve some of the most famous families in America, (owners of Heinz, Birds Eye, Goodtea, Maxwell House & George Bushâs Grandfather, Prescott) believed that their country should adopt the policies of Hitler and Mussolini to beat the great depression.
Mike Thomson investigates why so little is known about this biggest ever peacetime threat to American democracy.

This is a re-edited version of a show already posted. I wasn't able to login to my account to change the first show, so I set up a new account to repost this. Hope that's okay with y'all.
Author Neil Daniel immigrated to the USA from Trinidad-Tobago, searching for what he thought would be a better life. At first, living in the US seemed like a dream, but eventually,
he discovered that the US is extremely adept at public appearances, presenting itself to the outside world as the "land of the free" and of "opportunity" for all, where racism, sexism and social injustice rarely exist, where anyone can become successful, if he/she works hard enough to make it, while implementing policies and practices that result in just the opposite.
Now here's an interesting question: If the US is no longer the land of the free, is there such a place when so much of the world
has chosen to be influenced by American culture? In a sense, the entire world has become or is striving to become the USA
all over again.

This is an interview with Peter Janney on his new book,
Mary's Mosaic, which is a shocking expose' on the life and death of political peace activist Mary Pinchot Meyer, whose relationship with John F. Kennedy sheds new light on the circumstances surrounding his assassination. Peter Janney grew up in Washington, D.C., son of a high-ranking CIA official during the Cold War era of the 1950s and 1960s, mingling with many of Washington's social and political elite, including the family of Cord (CIA) and Mary Pinchot Meyer.
The corporate media have ignored Peter Janney and his revealing book, while they interview Bill O'Reilly about his
book on the JFK assassination that supports the Warren Commission Report. I, Cheryl, highly recommend reading this book. A second edition will be coming out in September with new information.
