A Story of Pain, Treachery and Deceit: Rape, More Rape and Pillaging the Future
Sept. 5, 2012, 3:54 a.m.
Strong on "Rape is NEVER the Victim's Faultâ: rape culture in the US, the fight against it and changing the world. Waggaman shows Obama's contrasting stands on rape in his response to Todd Akin and Obama's own refusal to condemn rape and sexual assault at US prisons in Iraq and Afghanistan. Sweet talks about the elections, the poisonous lure of Obama and a 12-Step Program for addiction to "voting for the lesser evil" instead of taking to the streets to fight the power and change the world.
Sept. 5, 2012, 1:14 a.m.
When mass changes occur quickly, they are easily observable. Slower alterations, especially those that happen over several generations, are misinterpreted as ânatural evolutions.â Time itself is used by the Establishment as a mechanism of control, especially when traditions are broken and grassroots institutional memory become discontinuous.

Vandana Shiva: The Seed at the Heart of Freedom (ONE of TWO)
Sept. 4, 2012, 3:49 p.m.
California Prop. 37 on the November ballot, requiring the labeling of GMOs, has the attention of the country and even the world. YES on 37 collected $3 Million, NO on 37 is funded by Monsanto, DuPont, Pepsi, BASF, Dow, Nestle, Coca-Cola and others to the tune of $25 million. Vandana Shiva addresses science and politics of GMOs in a passionate, convincing way without mentioning Prop. 37.
Shiva was recorded in September 2011 at the first national Heirloom Seed Expo held in Santa Rosa, CA. 10,000 people had come on short notice to see plants and seeds that would already be extinct had not someone lovingly collected and bred them.

Startin' out kind rock n' roll-ish but then we'll be hittin' some more British and Commonwealth derived stuff, mostly from the 80s and 90s, I think, cuz' that's what I've been listening to lately, and I found a bunch of stuff I'd never heard before that's fantastic. The second hour will be closed out by episode 28 of Rum Doings!
