In Sweden, a nationalist party known as the Sweden Democrats recently won 20 seats in the national parliament. Daniel Poohl is a journalist and a researcher. He is the executive editor for Expo Magazine: a publication dedicated to mapping far right and antidemocratic movements. Together with Michael Ekman he has also published a book about the Sweden Democrats. Maria Persdotter interviewed him for Redeye, Vancouver Co-op radio, CFRO 102.7 FM

Mark Twain's War Prayer

Orginally submitted in March of 1905 Mark Twain wrote his infamous 'War Prayer' and sent it to Harper's Bazaar. The women's magazine rejected it for being too radical, and it wasn't published until after Mark Twain's death, when World War I made it even more timely. It appeared in Harper's Monthly, in the month of November 1916.
