The danger of war in Ukraine
Jan. 6, 2022, 12:32 p.m.
Phil Taylor observes that Canadians should never be complacent about Ukraine and assume that everything will end peacefully.
At least 200 Canadian soldiers are stationed in Ukraine as "trainers." They act as a trip wire designed to drag Canada into war because of a misstep on either side.
Current Ukraine President Zelensky, who portrayed himself as the peace candidate during the last election, is being egged on to war by the US' and NATO's relentless supply of weapons and sabre-rattling against Russia. Zelensky represents the coup government that came to power in Ukraine as a result of a US-sponsored coup in 2014. Since that coup, and despite the Minsk Accords, the government in Kiev has refused to negotiate directly with the people of the Donbass Region of Eastern Ukraine, (peopled mainly by Russian speakers) and instead waged a low-level war against the breakaway People's Republic of Donetsk which came into existence as a result of the coup.
Taylor also notes that, as a result of the 2014 coup, Crimea broke away from Ukraine and joined the Russian Federation. It's important to note that Crimean political leaders called for a plebiscite on this issue, which was overwhelmingly supported by the people of the region. It's useful to compare this popular move with the US/NATO unilateral severance of Kosovo from the Former Yugoslavia under US President GW Bush, without a plebiscite.
Phil's new year's resolution: work to remove Canadian troops from Ukraine.

Attorney Susan Power on Israel's dishonest designation of six Palestinian human rights NGOs as "terrorist"
Jan. 5, 2022, 8:06 p.m.
The culture of lies and deceit runs so deep in our society that truth is losing its cleansing qualities. If lying suits the narrative to move your agenda, that is just fine, in America and Israel. So now, Israel claims that despite the fact that they have infiltrated six of Palestineâs human rights organizations with sophisticated surveillance equipment and therefore know exactly what is going on within these agencies, Israel claims they are "terrorist" organizations. The evidence they offer to substantiate their claim is bogus and has been discredited in both Europe and the US. Today, with Attorney Susan Power, we dissect Israel's attack on one of these major Palestinian human rights giants, Al Haq.

AMAZON WORKERS SAY "BEZOS 'FLIES' WHILE WORKERS DIE
Jan. 4, 2022, 12:29 p.m.
We're off to the rally, steps away from Broadway shows shut down by spiking COVID, where workers are gathering to demand Amazon recognize the union being organized by the Amazon Labor Union (ALU) and that its roughly 750,000 US workers be free from Amazons terror tactics to stop their unionizing.
Grueling peak season work requirements, sexual harassment and unsafe super-spreader conditions are fueling the union drive.
Now, just moments before the rally is set to kick off we just the news that two workers at Amazons warehouse in Bessemer, Alabama, have died within six hours of each other during their shifts.
At least one of them was told to keep working or hed lose his job, even though he said he needed to go home.
Amazon has been trying to cover up the fact that at least six workers at the Alabama warehouse have died in the last year.
This news comes on the heels of the recent deaths of Amazon workers in Edwardsville, Illinois, where six were killed when the Dec. 10 tornado demolished the warehouse " after management would not allow workers to keep their phones for emergency weather alerts nor allow them to leave in the face of the danger.
Fired Amazon worker Chris Smalls just told me that he received word that dozens of workers organized by Amazonians United Chicagoland walked off the job in two locations, Cicero, Illinois, and Gage Park, citing punishing hours and unsafe COVID-19 conditions.
Amazon workers are on the move, in fact Chris Smalls will announce breaking news at the rally of a stunning win by Amazon workers that mandates that Amazon stop and desist persecuting the workers attempts to organize unions at Amazons 110 facilities in the US!
Ok were ready to rally in Times Square with the Amazon workers and their allies for a union!
