Rwandan Refugees Were Pursued by the RPF and Western Powers Let It Happen
July 16, 2021, 6:15 p.m.
Professor Masako Yoneakawa, co-representative of Rita-Congo, researcher on refugee issues, peace and conflicts in the Great Lakes Region of Africa, has recently been named a recipient of the Victoire Ingabire Award at a ceremony in Brussels.
In this interview with the Taylor Report, Professor Yonekawa explains how the basic story of what occurred in Rwanda 1994 has not been properly reported. To understand the events of 1994 it is necessary to know that Rwanda was invaded in 1990 from Uganda and the refugee crisis and the ensuing violence began at that point. The Professor proved important details about the failure of the UN and other international institutions to protect Rwandan refugees who had fled to Zaire/Congo.

Sonic Cafe #247/Spy GUYZ! John Reese: Person of Interest
July 15, 2021, 8:39 a.m.
Sonic Café. Killing Strangers, Marilyn Manson from 2015, which is a fitting way to launch into another episode of Spy Guys on the Sonic Café. Iâm Scott Clark and this is episode 247. Person of Interest, a television series aired on CBS for five years; is regarded as one of the best science fiction tales ever broadcast. Itâs the post 911 story of reclusive billionaire and computer genius Harold Finch, who builds the government, a secret all knowing artificial intelligence called the machine, which spies on us every hour of every day. Itâs also the story of John Reese, a former CIA operative and all around badass. Ahem. Seriously John Reese could show James Bond a thing or two. Anyway Finch and Reese join forces with the Machine to take down bad guys. Listen for excerpts that clearly demonstrate how John Reese takes care of business, baby. Mixed in is a fitting batch of tunes selected from 45 years including Billie Ellish with No Time To Die, the latest James Bond theme, plus Pink Floyd, the X Ambassadors, Patterson Hood, Marijn Korff de Gidits and more. All straight as we bring you John Reese, Person of Interest on Spy Guys, from our super secret clandestine location in the foggy, mysterious, Pacific Northwest weâre the Sonic Café.

Estelle Freedman - "The History of Feminism"
July 14, 2021, 10:01 p.m.
No Turning BackâThe History of Feminism and the Future of Women
The place of women in the world and in the American society has changed in many aspects in the recent past. Many people say this is due to the politics of feminism, and some inquire where it will lead.
I spoke with Professor Freedman by phone in April 2002 and asked her to talk about why feminism did not evolve as people evolved and civilization developed.
The books Professor Freedman recommends are âThe Blind Assassinâ by Margaret Atwood, and âThe Vagina Monologuesâ by Eve Ensler.
