Commentary on Tiananmen Square incident

June 4, 2019, 9:13 p.m.
Tiananmen Square was a turning point for China. China has lifted 800 million people out of poverty in the last 30 years, becoming a technologically advanced society that adheres to international law. Most of this development followed Tiananmen, in which students who are now affiliated with Washington protested without a plan or vision for China. Protesters were allowed to stay in an important public square for many days, much longer than was ever allowed in any Western capital. The authorities successfully negotiated their removal. No-one was killed in Tiananmen Square. Violence occurred 3 kilometres from Tiananmen Square when rioters attacked police. Meanwhile, sensational claims of 'bodies piled up' and the burning of corpses turned out to be untrue. The New York Times had to change their story. Gorbachev, on his visit to China in 1989, asked to visit the demonstrators at Tiananmen Square. His request was denied. Gorbachev went on to sell pizzas for Pizza Hut, and China went on its way to becoming the lead economic power in the world.

The 1885 Northwest Rebellion Was Resistance to Colonial Arrogance

June 4, 2019, 8:31 p.m.
The 1885 Northwest Rebellion was resistance to colonial arrogance. All First Nation leaders and warriors' names should be cleared. And not just Poundmaker. Big Bear, One Arrow and the 8 men hanged at Battleford never received a fair trial or humane treatment.

Prof. Don Huber The Impact of GMOs and the Herbicide Roundup on Crops, Animals, People and the Environment, Part ONE of TWO

June 4, 2019, 5:57 p.m.
The battle lines are drawn over safety of genetically modified plants and animals between the corporations that make them, and farmers and consumers expected to handle and eat them. Don Huber is Professor Emeritus of Plant Pathology. He taught, researched and published at Purdue University for thirty-five years on plant physiology, microbiology, pathology and soil-borne disease control. Huber came out of retirement to speak out on the dangers of glyphosate and genetically modified plants. Monsanto had launched a campaign to discredit him in spite of his impeccable credentials that even include his work, from 1963 to 1971, at the U.S. Army Edgewood Proving Ground and Ft. Detrick Biological Laboratories in Maryland. There he did research on chemical and biological warfare. Huber came from the land. He grew up on a citrus and poultry farm in Arizona and later a dairy farm in Idaho. He worked his way through college at a sawmill, in construction, washing pots and pans, and janitorial jobs.

Prof. Don Huber came to the second annual Heirloom Seed Expo in Santa Rosa, California, in September 2012, to present his research. Recorded 9/12/2012
