Dialectical Disorder: An Indigenist Critique of Activism; Radicalism and Rational Self-Defence in an Era of Cultural and Political Revisionism
Jan. 6, 2018, 3:45 p.m.
@TheAngryindian begins 2018 with a (harsh) spoken-word critique of North American activism; the bad-jacketing of historical and contemporary Antifascism and a brief deconstruction of the problems caused when ethnic liberation movements decide to make allowances for direction-less patterns of cultural-Machiavellianism; ideological constructions of acceptable xenophobia and a lax, pseudo-revolutionary perspective when it comes to the issue of personal profiteering and aggrandisement. The point being, that populist sentiments eventually led to neoconservative movements which often become fascistic social orders that do quite a bit of human and environmental damage before they (finally) fall from power. When conservative elements among the working and marginalised-classes attempt to rationalise negative and (logically) counter-productive ideas â such as religious fundamentalism and pseudoscience â through an ethnocentric revision of what their oppressors are doing (and have done); they generally become what they have adopted and become oppressive entities and/or power systems themselves â by rejecting rationality; denying science and retarding critical thinking in the name of liberation or racial/cultural survival.
EXTRAS: The customary bits and pieces; a list of socially-conscious PSAâs and an important lecture (and Q & A) by former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) case officer Philip Agee, âThe CIA in the Post Cold War Worldâ (source/year: unknown) complete out this IRB programme.
All this and much more on, 4WR.

Puerto Rico - 100 Days and Counting, 1.4 Million Still Without Power
Jan. 6, 2018, 1:08 p.m.
100 Days and Counting in Puerto Rico, 1.4 Million Still Without Power, Protesters Demand for Aid to the Island Nation
Close to a thousand New Yorkers gathered to show support for Puerto Rico's marking of 100 days since the Island was devastated by Hurricane Maria.
organized by a broad coalition under the banner of #OurPowerPRnyc, they were supporting the following demands:
. Drop the debt
. Repeal the Jones Act
.Show solidarity & support
.Say "No" to PROMESA (the Puerto Rico Oversight, Management and
Economic Stability Act)
.Push for a Just Recovery and Transition
.Support Puerto Rican Climate Refugees
.Reject the "Tax Cuts and Jobs Act"
This action was supported by a broad coalition made up of the following
organizations: the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute, Center for Constitutional Rights, Climate Justice Alliance, Defend Puerto Rico, Grassroots Global Justice Alliance, MUEVETE, NYC Environmental Justice Alliance, Queer Kitchen Brigade, The CHULO brand, The Staten Island Urban Center, and UPROSE.
One of the lead organizers of this action Elizabeth Yeampierre, Executive Director of UPROSE, explained, "Let us be clear, the feeble response we have seen from this federal administration is not out of passive indifference, but rather active cruelty. It is consistent with the second-class citizenship that Puerto Ricans have long suffered. Climate disasters expose and exacerbate inequality and injustice. But it also gives us an opportunity to build a better future from the grassroots up."
"The present conditions in Puerto Rico must be defined as genocidal," according to Marta Moreno Vega, Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute. She stated further that "As taxpayers and citizens, the Puerto Rican Diaspora and all communities committed to human rights
must hold our government accountable before the United Nations and World Court."
The demonstration's organizers call on all concerned about the future of Puerto Rico to join them in demanding that the U.S. government provides a just recovery for Puerto Rico as a path towards decolonization.
