Diana Buttu on the One State Solution in the Trump era
April 14, 2017, 11:39 a.m.
Our feature presentation today is a talk given this past week at the JFK School of government by Palestinian Attorney Diana Buttu. She is introduced by Prof. Hillary Rantisi, and speaks on the topic of the One State Solution in the Trump era. Buttu observes that all the players are slowly headed toward a one state solution, with our know-nothing war-loving president claiming that whatever solution the players agree on is fine with him.
But before that, we begin by reading a statement by Richard Falk, writing in response to the UN's cowardly withdrawal of the official report he wrote with Virginia Tilley investigating Israelâs crime of apartheid. This critical report was attacked by the dynamic duo of Israel and the United States, and these bullies were successful in getting it thrown out. The executive secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia, which authorized the report, Rima Khalaf, resigned in protest of this outrageous, cowardly act of the United Nations. Richard Falk, former professor of International Law at Princeton University, served for 6 years as United Nations Human Rights Councilâs Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Palestine.

TB 170414 Influencing Public Policy 101 2X
April 14, 2017, 3:07 a.m.
This weekâs archive radio show starts out by rehashing some of the central themes we have been propounding here at the Thunderbolt for all of these years. We then consider how the central meme of our culture is heavily weighted in a right-ward leaning direction, and we lament the fact that the liberals seem bent upon passing useless gun control laws rather than actually fixing the problem. Next, the Toothless Old Grandpa âgoes postalâ, Donald Trump asks a very disturbing question, and for the finale this week we reveal the tricks to influencing public policy.

BOMBARDIER's illegal train project in the Palestinian Occupied territories
April 13, 2017, 4:01 p.m.
A closer look at Bombardier's new project in Israel that consists of providing 62 (possibly 94) trains to an illegal train route (A1 rail Line) being built by Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
In 2011, after a subsidiary of the German state-owned firm, Deutsche Bahn, withdrew from the A1 rail line, the former German transport minister, Peter Ramsauer, said: âthis Israeli railway project which runs through occupied territory is problematic from a foreign policy standpoint and is potentially against international law.â

Out of the Woods - Show #367 - 4-22-17
April 13, 2017, 1:44 p.m.
This version of the program is divided into 6 segments so broadcasters who desire to use this content can insert your station info, etc. The segments vary in length.
Out of the Woods is an earthy, wires and wood, mostly acoustic program featuring some of the best new and established artists from the worlds of folk, bluegrass, singer-songwriters, alt.country, Americana, classic country, old-time, Celtic, and everything that falls in between. The show is an unpredictable mix flowing like a river between moods, often with an edge or in a melancholy minor key. On occasion, Out of the Woods features interviews and live in-studio performances with national and international touring musicians. Past guests have included artists such as Bela Fleck, Si Kahn, Brown Bird, Dana Robinson, Steve Gillette & Cindy Mangsen, Kate MacLeod, Bill Bourne, Karl Shiflett, Rachel Bissex, Darryl Purpose, Bow Thayer, Cosy Sheridan and many others. Out of the Woods grew out of Jon 'Chip' Colcord's former acoustic programs, The Song Swap and Music For The Mountain, separate folk and bluegrass programs which aired in New Hampshire during the 1990s. As a child, Colcord grew up a ravenous music fan with an ear for both rock and folk. All of these influences converge on Out of the Woods to bring you a mix which is as much on the edge as it is down home. Folk music with a rock 'n' roll soul
