An original radio theatre show each week, with most sounds culled from the previous week, about a fictional, theatrical presidency. Contradictions tell the story, with songs, skits, and clips from political news shows and late-night comedy routines. The definition of "radio theatre" is stretched here, with an updated Dickie Goodman and/or Richard Foreman-meets-mashup style sometimes, and a more straightforward take other weeks. Currently airing on 30 or 40 stations around the world, the network has ordered another two months of episodes. Anyone who would like to work on a production, or have their work air in this timeslot, should contact info@wgxc.org.
This episode is almost entirely songs with a little help from John Oliver, Joe Biden, and Lesley Stahl.
Volume 198 In The Musicals. This week our hero lets it all out in songs. Thanks this week for the songs from Bjork ("I've Seen It All"), Edith Frost ("Little Sign"), Roseanne Cash ("Crawl Into the Promised Land"), Oscar Brand ("Fair and Free Elections"), Black Eyed Peas and Jennifer Hudson ("The Love"), Janelle Monae ("Turntables"), Randy Rainbow ("I Won't Vote Trump"), and Amy Rigby and Wreckless Eric ("Vote the ----er Out" Clean Version). Also thanks to John Oliver, Joe Biden, and Lesley Stahl. An original radio theatre show each week, with most sounds culled from the previous week, about a fictional, theatrical presidency.
