John Newsinger is Senior Lecturer: History at Bath Spa University in the UK. He is the author of numerous books and articles. His most recent books include: The Blood Never Dried (2006) Orwell's Politics (1999); United Irishman: The Memoirs of James Hope (2000); British Counterinsurgency: from Palestine to Northern Ireland (2002) and Rebel City: Larkin, Connolly and the Dublin Labour Movement (2004).
