Your support is essential if the service is to continue, there are bandwidth bills to pay every month and failing disk drives to replace. Enbridge is reversing a 37 year old pipeline that runs across the Province of Ontario and further on to Montreal. The plan is to pump dilbit from Sarnia to the East Coast markets.
The problems are various. The information limited.
Hamilton City Hall allowed citizens to comment on Enbridge's plans to pump dilbit through an old pipeline. Enbridge was invited 3 times, and failed to show. The City held the topic open for commentary anyway.
Delegates - John McGreal *HIVE),Ken Stone (350), Janet Chafe *HEAT), Daniell Boisse, Elysia Petron, Maggie Hughes, Diane Fields, don McLean, Dr. Lynda Kukasik (Environment Hamilton)
Enbridge has moved ahead with their plan to reverse a 37 year old pipeline that runs across Ontario. It starts at the Sarnia Refinery and is actually part of the same transport line that sent Tar Oil to Kalamazoo Michigan.
The City of Hamilton tried to get Enbridge representatives to come to Hamilton to allow local concerned organizations and citizens to comment on line 9.
Enbridge never came. So Hamilton allowed the 10 delegates to make their presentations anyway. Since the broadcast camera does not show the delegates nor their presentations, I try to make sure their concerns are broadcasted.
