Part II of a three part series featuring men and women who have opposed war and the machinery that drives it. In this segment we speak with activists from the 1960's.
Producer: Andrew Zimmerman Uploaded by: Andrew Zimmerman
Although much of the social turmoil and paradigm shifting that defined the sixties were symptoms of an emerging drug sub-culture, not everyone was in it for the free love and LSD. Behind the transparent revolution was a deeper, more sincere movement fomenting social and political change. In the second part of Bruderhof Radio's "Roots of Resistance" series we speak with some of those who experienced the true revolution of the 1960's - the civil rights and anti-war movements. Although these movements were broad-based, far-reaching and quite complex, the personal stories we share here are representative of the larger struggle of the Vietnam era. With Tom Cornell of the Catholic Worker, Tom Big Warrior of the Lenape Nation, and Kevin Bruce of the Bruderhof Communities
