A discussion of the proposed Atlantica Trade Zone.
Recorded by Stuart Neatby for CKDU radio in Halifax
On June 13th in Halifax, approximately 200 gathered for a townhall discussion on the proposed Atlantica Free Trade Zone, which would link Canada's Atlantic Provinces with the New England states of New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Upstate New York.
The lively discussion focused upon the potential impacts of the Atlantica trade upon the east coast region, the parallels between Atlantica and the 'deep integration' agenda of Canada, the US, and Mexico, and the possibility of resistance for people's movements within the region.
