We unfold the little-reported story of U.S. "Justice" Department's victimization of the Cuban Five, currently incarcerated in the US for over ten years while appealing convictions of "conspiracy to commit espionage."
Schotz and Kohn, with the all-volunteer staff of "Truth and Justice Radio," broadcast every Sunday 6-10am on WZBC 90.3FM, Newton, MA). Webstream is at <wzbc.org>; the programs own website is <truthandjusticeradio.org>.
The "Cuban Five" are Cuban patriots who came to Florida to monitor the activities of anti-Cuban terrorist groups operating out of Miami. These exile groups, protected, trained, and financed by US administrations since 1959, are responsible for terrorist actions resulting in the loss of over 3,000 Cuban lives. The five successfully infiltrated the groups on behalf of the Cuban government and gathered information to prevent future terrorist actions. They were arrested in 1998 and convicted of "conspiracy to commit espionage." Their case
illustrates the hypocrisy of Bush's "War on Terror" since the Five are in fact anti-terrorists.

Schotz and Kohn also commented on the Cuban culture of caring, including the Cuban government's totally free medical school program for applicants willing to commit to practice medicine in underserved areas throughout the world.

A sidelight of their trips was dealing courageously with U.S. Customs' intrusive questions upon re-entry.
