From April 22nd to the - 24th, of 2009- over 50 people gathered in Washington DC to demand More Low Power FM radio- through the passage of the Local Community Radio Act. As the gathering brought together representatives from existing LPFMs, groups that wish to have an LPFM and supporters that advocate for community media, the goal of this visit to DC was to demonstrate popular support for expanding low-power fm to legislators and to strengthen the LPFM movement.
