This is a meeting of the Horseheads Village Planning Board discussing the proposed Schlumberger natural gas drilling services site.
The Planning Board listened to three guest speakers before submitting their approval of the site to the Village Trustees. The three speakers (in order) are: -Ron Sherman, who was hired by the village to review the proposal -Jimmie Joe Carl, who is Chemung County's Stormwater Engineer -Michael S. Smith, who is Chemung County's director of fire and emergency services
The Horseheads Village Trustees still have final authority to decide if this site needs a complete Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
