As struggles for indigenous sovereignty intensify, as resistance mounts to the 2010 Olympics being held on Coast Salish land in Vancouver, as labour struggles become more militant and as poor people and migrants mobilize throughout our communities and set to disrupt the façade being played out by the leaders of the G8 and G20 nations, we introduce the topic of todayâs show: Resistance 2010.
Interview clips with Ward Churchill and Lee Maracle.
Our show reports about the issues and struggles for justice, dignity and self-determination by migrants, refugees and indigenous peoples from the frontlines.
We air on the first and third Friday of every month on CKLN 88.1FM from 6:00-6:30pm
This show is co-hosted by Yogi Acharya, Sheila Hewlett and Ryan Hayes with files from Craig Fortier.
Featuring "Technorganic" by Sikh Knowledge and "Singh With Me (Remember 84)" by Humble the Poet featuring Sikh Knowledge.
