An important Boston-area event coming up April 25; and clear-eyed analysis of Obama's meaningless posturing as regards Netanyahu's vast new settlement plans.

In July, 2005, more than 170 Palestinian NGOs issued a call for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israel until it complies with International Law and Universal Principles of Human Rights. The international BDS movement has grown tremendously since then and has recorded numerous successes. Most of these successes, however, have occurred in Europe, although successes in the U.S. are slowly mounting.

To discuss this subject, we are very pleased to welcome Ms. Mieke Zagt, program officer for ICCO, the Inter Church Organization for Development Cooperation, a Christian development agency based in Holland. ICCO is working against poverty and injustice all over the world. In the Middle East ICCO is focusing on a just peace for Palestine and Israel. Previously Mieke Zagt worked for Amnesty International on Iran. Mieke Zagt is educated as a philosopher at the University of Amsterdam. We reach her today in Netherlands.
Co-hosts and guest listed above; producer Steve Cornie; recordist Stan Robinson; and the entire staff of WZBC
This Week In Palestine (a weekly part of Truth and Justice Radio) is (normally) a three-quarter-hour segment of news from Palestine and discussion of issues relevant to the Palestinians' struggle for freedom from Israel's brutal military occupation and colonization, and now bombing, devastation, imprisonment, and murder, of their homeland, thanks in part to U.S. taxpayer funding.

It's part of Truth and Justice Radio, aired Sundays 6-10am ET on WZBC 90.3FM, Newton, MA, streaming (and also archived for two weeks) at Our website,, links to audio archives of 2008-2010 editions of This Week In Palestine; even more editions are obtainable at the URL "" which links to our postings on

The most important message we repeat is that all caring humans must GET INVOLVED!
