What do you do if you are exceedingly different from your family, and they cannot accept who you are? Can letting go of the combative energy help defuse the situation? Can you really learn to accept yourself to the point where having your familyâs acceptance is no longer so important?
They also talk about the value of having a spiritual practice to help us stay centered, and giving ourselves time to step back from hostile situations to allow ourselves to heal and integrate.
