There are around 100 cannabinoids in the marijuana plant. THC is one of these cannabinoids that is responsible for causing the phenomena of being high. Our body has cannabinoid receptors and mothers breast milk contains endocannabinoids, (endo meaning with in). There are even cannabinoids that have no psychoactive properties. These compounds prevent aging, free-radicals, and inflammation. Cannabinoids regulate virtually every system in the body. Cannabis is being used in Colorado to cure cancer, however, it does not work for all people on all types of cancer.
