This version of the program is divided into 6 segments so broadcasters who desire to use this content can insert your station info, etc. The segments are approximately 30 minutes in most cases.

'Out of the Woods' is a mostly acoustic program leaning heavily toward new music by contemporary singer-songwriters, folk singers, bluegrass bands, blues artists and just about any music that fits in between.
Welcome to Out of the Woods, a 3-hour program of mostly acoustic music which airs ever Friday from 6 to 9 e.s.t. locally, and is syndicated on The Global Voice, a station run primarily by blind program hosts, and aimed at bringing together the blind and sighted communities (http://www.theglobalvoice.info - Sundays at 5 pm e.s.t., repeating at 11 pm on Mondays), and also on BOB-FM (http://www.bob-fm.webs.com/, Sundays at 6 am e.s.t.)
The show can also be heard anytime by visiting the archives.

This week we remembered the great Earl Scruggs who passed away Wednesday morning at the age of 88. Earl was an innovator on the 5-string banjo and is solely responsible for the 3-finger style which became standard in bluegrass music. Earl Scruggs is an American legend. With his passing, the original Bluegrass Boys classic lineup of 1945-1947, which consisted of Bill Monroe, Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs, Chubby Wise, and Cedric Rainwater have all passed on. I included plenty of Scruggs material on the show tonight, including the Earl Scruggs & Friends Radio Special from 2001. The rest was bluegrass material I had laid-out for the show prior to the news. So, all bluegrass tonight, and a bit of a return of the old 'Music For The Mountain' shows of old...
