At the same time, government uses austerity to justify cuts to health care, pensions, culture, food safety and environmental research and reviews. Ellen Judd and Sandra Gessler, members of Peace Alliance Winnipeg, talk about military spending, the austerity budget, and Canadian military missions in Afghanistan and Haiti.
Josh Brandon and Karen Mackintosh (host)
Ellen Judd is a member of Project Peacemakers and September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows. Sandra Gessler is a member of the Social Planning Council and Winnipeg Haiti Solidarity Group.
